WATCH LIVE: VP JD Vance addresses reporters from the White House in the first press briefing since former press secretary Karoline Leavitt's departure.

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1ErPHmr5QJ/

VP opens his press briefing by paying tribute to Karoline Leavitt β€” the greatest Press Secretary in White House history! ❀️

β€œKaroline, if you’re watching β€” which hopefully you’re not β€” but if you’re watching, thank you for your service, thank you for your friendship and thanks for doing a great job.”

VP: "We have taken over 2,000 fraudulent CDL mills OUT OF BUSINESS β€” which makes America's roads safer and also protects the jobs of American truckers."

VP on the Venezuelan oil deal: "It's just an amazing testament to what a smart foreign policy could look like and how it feeds back in to good outcomes for the American people... Effectively a new 65 billion barrel of oil reserve for the United States."

VP: "For all the kids at home and their parents, importantly, tomorrow is the last day of the Second Lady's Summer Reading Challenge... You've gotta return your Summer Reading Challenge stuff in!" πŸ“š

VP: "The President has set us about to be the most transparent Administration in history β€” and we have done that with flying colors."

VP: I don't really care who's to blame for inflation; I care about how to fix it β€” and that's what we've been working relentlessly to do by undoing the policies that got prices so high in the first place.

VP: "The only reason we do not have a worldwide energy crisis is because of the leadership of the President." βœ…

VP: "Major combat operations are currently not ongoing and they haven't been ongoing in a very long time... What we're talking about here is trying to maintain some basic balance in these world energy markets."

VP JD Vance REFUSES to allow people to FORCE him to condemn Tucker Carlson

"I'm NOT going to play the game where I throw friends under the bus because I have political disagreements with them. I think that is a TERRIBLE place for the United States to go."

"What a TRAVESTY it is that in the United States of America we let political disagreements define who our friends are going to be and not going to be."

"And if you have a disagreement with somebody politically, even over a deeply held issue, you should still be friends with that person because the whole republic depends on people with different perspectives being able to talk to one another."

"I think it's very obvious that Tucker has said some things that I disagree with. He said some things about the President of the United States that I think are just wrong."

VP: "There's A LOT that would go wrong if the Democrats take control of the House or the Senate."

VP: "What I'm focused on is trying to get as many Republicans elected as possible so that we can do as much good as possible... We get an opportunity to come to work every day and make 350 million peoples' lives better. That's what we have to be focused on."

VP: "Our commitment in the Trump Administration is that we would like to have nine Supreme Court justices. That's the way that it has been for a long time and we think that's the way that it should stay."

VP: "What I think President Trump will be remembered by β€” rightfully so β€” is for a renaissance in American building and American manufacturing."

VP: "Do you want to live in a country that has safety and security and prosperity? If the answer is yes β€” and I think most Americans do β€” then vote for congressional Republicans over congressional Democrats. On every single issue, the Democrats have taken the side of fraudsters, of criminals, and of far-left interest groups over the side of the American people."

With profound sadness, we remember Sgt. Chris Fisher, a Warm Springs Police Department officer whose life was tragically cut short Tuesday night in Warm Springs, Georgia. Fisher was killed at approximately 11:57 p.m., leaving his fellow officers, loved ones…
A white Georgia sergeant booked a man on Friday, and that same black suspect is accused of sho*ting him in his patrol car four nights later.

Sgt. Chris Fisher of the Warm Springs Police Department had just finished an unrelated traffic stop near the Meriwether Country Inn around 11:57 p.m. on Sept. 1.

GBI says a black 2026 Chevrolet Silverado pulled alongside his cruiser and the driver opened fire. Fisher, a husband and father of two, was pronounced de*d at the scene.

The agency named 23-year-old Jimmie Lee Steverson of Warm Springs as the suspect. Court records show Fisher himself had arrested Steverson around 1 a.m. on Aug. 28 on felony counts that included marijuana possession, possession of a g*n during the commission of a crime, and obstruction. Steverson posted bond and walked.

A Blue Alert went statewide. About 12 hours later, Anderson County deputies in South Carolina stopped a car on I-85. Steverson was a passenger. GBI says he had a self-inflicted g*nshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and d*ed.

City Councilman Michael Bishop told 11Alive he believes the sho*ting was payback for that Friday arrest. Warm Springs is a tiny west Georgia town.

The man Fisher put in cuffs was back on the street in time to find him sitting in a parked patrol car.

That is what a bond decision cost.

CHARGED AS AN ADULT FOR BRINGING A KNIFE TO A FIST FIGHT and using it.

Fifteen-year-old Carlos Martinez was attacked inside Miami Northwestern Senior High School, where police records say two students punched, kicked and BODY-SLAMMED him to the ground.

Martinez later retrieved a knife and chased students through the hallway, ultimately stabbing an 18-year-old in the back. That student told police he was not one of the two who originally attacked Martinez, while Martinez's parents say their son had been threatened for days before everything exploded. Three students were arrested.

Martinez is now facing aggravated-battery and weapons charges, and prosecutors say they intend to put the 15-year-old into the ADULT criminal system.

He was attacked first, BUT what happened afterward clearly went much further...and reportedly an innocent student was the one who paid the price.

For nearly three years, we have stood firmly with Ryan Clinkunbroomer’s family and with the dedicated men and women of our Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.  Throughout this time, we have remained steadfast in supporting this investigation and doing everything we can to assist the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in pursing justice and holding this individual accountable for the ambush murder of Ryan.

Today’s verdict delivers justice and accountability.  While nothing can bring Ryan back to his family, his loved ones, or our LASD family, we hope this verdict brings a sense of peace and closure to those who loved him and served alongside him.

Ryan dedicated his life to service, proudly carrying on his family’s legacy as a third-generation member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.  We will forever honor his service, his sacrifice, and the badge he proudly wore.  Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer will never be forgotten.

75 DAYS IN JAIL FOR PLOTTING TO KILL ICE AGENTS? Oregon, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Rayden Tanner Coleman was accused of plotting to stalk and kill ICE agents, build incendiary devices and recruit others into his cause. Court documents say he discussed following agents home, using Molotov cocktails and even d*capitating officers.

Police found destructive-device materials and surveillance equipment, and investigators say Coleman admitted he had planned to k*ll ICE agents and had purchased an AR-style rifle for that purpose.

A grand jury eventually charged him with 15 felonies, INCLUDING domestic terrorism.

But he got a deal.

Coleman pleaded guilty to two destructive-device charges, the terrorism counts were dismissed, and he received 75 days in jail plus three years of supervised probation. THAT'S IT.

We are absolutely stunned by this one.

Sheriff Grady Judd was asked a question by a WFTV Channel 9 Orlando reporter after a news conference about a large multi-agency fentanyl and methamphetamine drug trafficking organization investigation. She asked about a 2 week old immigration detainment of two women. The Sheriff, in no uncertain terms, explained that we treat those in the country illegally the same as we treat an American citizen: if you have a warrant or a detainment order, you are going to jail.
