Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial head into a sixth day of deliberations after telling the judge they remain unable to agree on a unanimous verdict.

The judge has now issued a Tuey-Rodriguez charge, urging jurors to carefully reconsider their positions while making clear they should not abandon honestly held beliefs. It is a final step before the case could end in a mistrial.

Meanwhile, a separate courtroom controversy is unfolding after a woman accused of photographing jurors pleads not guilty to juror intimidation. She has been ordered to stay away from the courthouse and barred from sharing any images or videos of the jury.

Benjamin Azariah Southworth, 40, of Los Angeles has been indicted by a grand jury on federal charges for threatening to kill President Trump, cyberstalking, and making harassing interstate calls.

Southworth is charged with posting videos calling for President Trump’s assassination, then targeted the family of the President’s personal attorney by publishing their home address and phone numbers, and leaving voicemails threatening β€œjustice comes to your door.”

Threats against the President of the United States are federal crimes. We will not tolerate threats of political violence in the United States. My office will prosecute anyone who crosses that line to the fullest extent of the law.

When we got here, the FBI needed to move faster to keep up with 21st century criminals.

So we changed it.

Under President Trump’s leadership, this FBI is putting cutting-edge technology directly into the hands of the men and women doing the mission:

πŸ”Ί AI helping triage threat tips and identify the most serious threats faster
πŸ”Ί Technology translating and transcribing massive amounts of foreign-language data
πŸ”Ί Computer vision helping investigators cut through enormous volumes of video and evidence
πŸ”Ί Machine learning connecting data and exposing criminal networks
πŸ”Ί Biometric technology searching nearly 190 MILLION fingerprint records with 99.6% identification accuracy

We are not replacing agents and analysts β€” we are giving them better tools to do what they do best: find the threat, find the criminal, and get them off the street.

YOU FLEW ALL THE WAY FROM BRITAIN...TO SNEAK INTO AMERICA THROUGH THE WOODS?!

Four UK citizens illegally crossed the Canadian border into Maine, and then two of them apparently thought the "oops, we got lost hiking" excuse was going to work.
It didn't.

All four eventually pleaded guilty to illegally entering the United States. Hameed Mohammed Nagi and Mohammed Sultan Saleh also admitted lying to federal investigators about how they got here.

Investigators say Nagi had actually come looking for work because he was worried he wouldn't qualify for a visa.

So instead of applying legally, the solution was apparently to travel to Canada, walk through the woods into Maine and hope nobody noticed.

A staffed, LEGAL port of entry was only a few hundred yards away.

Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal calls ICE agents β€œfake law enforcement,” and says she will ARREST them for enforcing federal immigration law.

Have any of these DEI hires ever read the supremacy clause of the United States Constitution?

If they can even read, that is…

OH THE IRONY!!! Denver Mayor Mike Johnston actually (literally) said "HELL NO" when the Trump administration tried to get Denver to back off its g*n restrictions... but guess what happened when a man approached HIM carrying what looked like a knife? HIS ARMED SECURITY PULLED A G*N.

Funny how fast firearms become useful when it's your own life potentially on the line.

Of COURSE the elite who want to disarm America have armed security. Rules for thee but not for me, right?

Johnston's security detail was outside Union Station when the man approached carrying what appeared to be a real knife. An officer immediately drew his firearm and ordered him to drop it.

The blade turned out to be plastic, thankfully, and nobody was hurt.

THIS is why people carry g*ns. Threats don't send calendar invites. You don't get five minutes to determine whether the weapon coming toward you is real before deciding whether to protect yourself.

Johnston has pushed waiting periods, tighter g*n restrictions and Denver's assault-weapons ban.

Yet when danger appeared in front of HIM, an armed protector was exactly what he needed.

Funny how that works.

SecMullin on how Kathy Hochul's refusal to cooperate with ICE is leading to chaos in New York: "She's the rotten core in the batch of apples that is destroying the great state of New York, and we're simply trying to take these criminals back off the street who should have never been released because they have no legal right to be in America."

SETH MOULTON SAID HE DIDN'T WANT BIOLOGICAL MALES COMPETING AGAINST HIS DAUGHTERS... and Massachusetts Democrats basically told him THAT was too far right.

He apologized for saying it, but Ed Markey kept hammering him over the issue anyway and went on to crush him in the Democratic primary.
Markey just crushed Moulton in the Democratic Senate primary after repeatedly painting him as insufficiently supportive of transgender policies.

And Markey isn't being subtle about where HE stands.

He's the senator behind the "Transgender Bill of Rights," a sweeping proposal calling for expanded gender-identity protections, changes involving Title IX and broader access to transition-related medical care.

Think about the contrast.

One Democrat says, essentially, "I don't want my daughters competing against males," gets hammered until he APOLOGIZES... and still isn't progressive enough.
The other goes all-in and wins.

Massachusetts Democrats just told you exactly where their line is. Apparently protecting girls' sports is now the radical position.

EXPOSE THIS! Minnesota's own website says the group is STILL a current state grantee. This is the same organization behind the taxpayer-funded pantry that told people its resources were intended for Black and Indigenous people.

Just IMAGINE THE RIOTS if someone were to hang a sign reversing the roles.

The Food Trap Project Bodega caused outrage in North Minneapolis after posting a sign asking people outside those racial groups not to take the pantry's resources.

The project had received money through Minnesota's Paths to Black Health program, and even the church hosting it said the racial restriction was NOT part of what had originally been proposed.

The church eventually cut ties, but apparently the state of Minnesota did not.

The Department of Health updated its grant page in June 2026, and Food Trap Project Initiative remains listed among its CURRENT Paths to Black Health grantees.

Tax dollars come from people of every race. Publicly funded food should not come with a racial eligibility sign attached.

This week, a disturbing video from New York City has been circulating widely. A suspect stabbed two people, one fatally. The suspect, armed with knives, was subsequently fatally shot as she appeared to move toward responding officers. Early reports suggest she may have been experiencing a behavioral health crisis, although the full circumstances remain under investigation.

The tragedy should cause us to look beyond the video itself and ask a bigger question: Are our systems adequately equipped to intervene before someone reaches a point of crisis?

We have seen the consequences of these challenges here at home as well. Recently in our community, an individual with a history of mental illness was involved in a brutal attack that seriously harmed others. Every situation is different, and mental illness should never automatically be associated with violence. But these incidents reinforce something those of us in public safety see far too often: people with serious behavioral health needs can fall through significant gaps in our system until a crisis occurs.

In Harris County, approximately 63% of incarcerated defendants have a mental health flag, and about 17% of defendants are experiencing homelessness. Jails were never designed to be our primary mental health treatment system, yet increasingly they are being asked to manage people with extraordinarily complex needs.

Meanwhile, state mental health hospitals face long delays and limited capacity. Local treatment capacity is also inadequate. Civil mental health commitments in Texas are intentionally subject to significant legal standards. And families trying to help someone in crisis can sometimes find themselves navigating a fragmented system with few options.

At @HCSOTexas, we work closely with our partners at @TheHarrisCTR and others. Together, we have developed a successful jail-based mental health competency program and expanded its capacity. That work mattersβ€”but it still cannot reach everyone who needs help.

Law enforcement sits at the intersection of many of these systems. We see what happens when they work, and unfortunately, we also see what happens when they don’t.

There is no single or easy fix. But accepting the status quo cannot be the answer either.

We need stronger community-based behavioral health services, greater treatment capacity, better continuity of care, appropriate facilities for people with acute needs, and earlier opportunities to intervene before crisis becomes tragedy.

This isn’t only a mental health issue. It’s a community safety issue.

We must remain relentless about improving systems that are too often fragmented and overwhelmedβ€”while protecting the dignity of people experiencing mental illness and the safety of our entire community.

My condolences are with the victims and everyone affected by the tragedy in New York City.

On Saturday, August 29, at approximately 12:44 a.m., the Magee Police Department responded to a shooting involving multiple victims, with one person later pronounced deceased.

In the middle of that chaos, Officer Ty Easterling and Officer Brandon Cooper rose to the occasion.

Officer Easterling located one of the victims inside a vehicle suffering from a severe gunshot wound and significant blood loss. He immediately removed the victim from the vehicle and requested a tourniquet from Officer Cooper.

Knowing that severe bleeding can become fatal within minutes, Officer Easterling acted without hesitation. He applied the tourniquet and was able to stop the bleeding.

With ambulances tied up across the county due to the number of shootings that had occurred, Officer Easterling knew there was no time to waste. He placed the victim in his patrol unit and transported him directly to the hospital.

Thankfully, he made it in time.

The victim was later airlifted to another hospital for further treatment, and a nurse later credited the tourniquet with saving that victim’s life.

This is the side of law enforcement that people do not always get to see.

Police officers carry many titles. Counselor. Protector. First responder. Problem solver. Sometimes even the person standing between life and death.

We train our officers because when seconds matter, there may not be time to wait for someone else. That night, Officers Easterling and Cooper handled their business, and their actions made a difference.

I am also proud of every officer who came out that night to assist, including the deputies with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office. When something like this happens, it takes everyone working together, and I appreciate every person who stepped up and helped.

I am proud of our officers and the way they responded when our community needed them.

The more we train, the better we serve.
