The 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof πŸ’₯

Ford really had the proportions right on these. Long hood, short rear deck, fastback roofline, hood scoop, rear louvers, just enough going on without making it look overdone.

Still one of the coolest shapes from peak muscle-era Ford.

The 1956 Thunderbird might be one of Fords best looking cars ever. πŸ”₯

It was only the second year of the T-Bird and Ford was already locked in on a legend. The spare tire was moved outside to free up trunk space, they added more V8 power to the recipe, and those little wind wings were added to make top-down driving slightly less chaotic.

70 years later and you have a car that stands out as one of our favorites.

Big news for California’s classic car world 🏁

β€œJay Leno’s Law” (SB 1392) has officially been signed into law, expanding California’s smog-check exemption to qualifying collector cars from 1976 through 1985.

The change won’t happen overnight. Starting January 1, 2028, qualifying 1976–1980 vehicles can become exempt, with another model year added annually until 1985 models are included. The exemption is specifically aimed at limited-use collector vehicles rather than everyday transportation.

For California collectors, that means a whole new generation of classics could become considerably easier to own, preserve and keep on the road.

What 1976–1985 car would you put back on the road?

This isn’t the average β€˜65 Mustang coupe. 🧑

It’s a K-Code car with the 289 high performance 289 V8, rated at 271 hp when new and backed here by a 4-speed manual. This one is finished in factory Poppy Red with a black interior, Rally-PAC gauges and the little β€œHigh Performance 289” badges on the fenders.

The K-Code was the Mustang you ordered when the regular V8 wasn’t enough. And yeah, it sounds pretty good pulling up too.

See you at the club. ♠️

The last year of Ford’s third-generation F-Series, this 1960 Custom Cab Styleside still has that four-headlight front end and the long bed that makes the lowered stance look even better.

White paint and matching wheels. Pretty hard to find a bad angle on this truck, especially when it’s rolling down the street. Just remember to lay frame when you park it.

Would you keep it this low?

Hard to believe this was considered a sensible family car in 1963. 🏁

Imagine walking into a Chevy dealership in 1967 and seeing this sitting on the showroom floor.

A silver Corvette convertible with a 4-speed manual and a bright orange V8 under the hood.

I’d have made some pretty irresponsible financial decisions.

The Mustang gets all the attention, but I’d have a hard time walking past this Torino Cobra.

Especially in orange with that black hood. Not exactly a subtle choice.

Which Ford are you taking home?
