On July 11, 2026, Officer Casey Allsbrook was finishing her night shift and heading home when she came upon a scene no one could have expected.
A vehicle had crashed and was on fire. Flames had consumed much of the engine compartment and were beginning to spread into the passenger compartment. Inside the vehicle, a man was trapped, and unconscious.
Officer Allsbrook tried to open the driverโs-side door, but the collision had damaged it.
Officer Allsbrook ran to the passenger side, used her baton to break the window and climbed into the burning vehicle. She reached the man and helped pull him from the vehicle, putting her own life in danger to save his.
Moments later, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
Because Officer Allsbrook was there, because she recognized the danger and because she was willing to run toward it when every instinct might have told her to run the other way, that man survived.
She was on her way home.
Instead, she became the reason someone else got to go home, too.
Officer Allsbrookโs actions that night were more than courageous. They were selfless. They were instinctive. And they are a powerful reminder that being a police officer is not simply a job that ends when a shift is over. It is a commitment to protect and serveโwhenever and wherever someone needs help.
Officer Allsbrook, we are incredibly proud of you. Thank you for putting your life on the line to save another. You are an example of the courage, compassion and dedication that define the Horry County Police Department.
To show the department's appreciation, Chief Kris Leonhardt awarded Officer Allsbrook with a Medal of Valor and Lifesaving Award.

BREAKING: Election Fraud Arrests Begin This morning we arrested and federally charged a Honduran national for unlawfully registering to vote in California and falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen. Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, 30, of Winnetka, is chargedโฆ
New Details: In an early morning bust, federal agents in L.A. just arrested a Honduran national who investigators allege was able to register to vote in California & committed perjury by lying on a voter application that he is a U.S. Citizen.
Darwin Rivera-Flores is federally charged with making a false claim about his citizenship and having a fraudulent voter registration, Matt Finn reports.
A criminal complaint says Rivera-Flores pled guilty to obstruction earlier this year for blocking an ICE agentโs access to an immigration building in Camarillo, CA.
Then in March, the complaint alleges Rivera-Flores went back to the federal building and threatened the same agent saying he will find the agentโs โneighborhood and house.โ
In April, a separate U.S. immigration agent alleges Rivera-Flores texted him, calling him a โb*tchโ and writing โI canโt wait until the midterms you donโt have qualified immunity then we can start to indict all you guys one by one.โ
Homeland Security alleges that the text message about the midterms implies Rivera-Flores had an interest and intent to vote in November.
The Trump Administration has sued California, demanding it turn over its voter rolls, arguing the federal government could be able to sort through names to determine whoโs illegally registered. California currently allows a person to register online without an I.D. or Social Security number and the California Secretary of Stateโs website says items like a gym membership are acceptable forms of ID at the ballot box.

THIS IS BARBARIC. Reports describing Endurance Sabon as a Christian teenager say suspected Islamist Fulani herdsmen demanded that her family give her to one of them in marriage. When the family refused, she was later mutilated in a machete attack.
Endurance was just 15 years old when her family says the men approached them while they were working on a farm in Kaduna State, Nigeria, and demanded that she be handed over as a bride.
Her family said NO.
According to their account, the men later ambushed them, seized Endurance and attacked her so brutally with a machete that her hand had to be amputated.
A Christian teenage girl was treated like property by men who believed they were entitled to take her as a wife, and when her family refused to surrender her, she paid for that refusal with part of her body. It is UNBELIEVABLE that this could happen anywhere in the world.
She should be worrying about school, friends and her future. Instead, she is recovering from a brutal attack because her family refused to hand a 15-year-old girl over for a forced marriage.
There is no cultural or religious excuse for this.
Absolutely barbaric.

It started with two arrests, but a break-in at the Coral Gables home of a couple killed in a helicopter crash in Africa is the tip of the iceberg in a vast criminal operation, police said.
Earlier this week, authorities announced the arrests of 40-year-old Geybert Garcia and 24-year-old Melany Perdomo in connection to the burglary of the residence of Adam Hlavaty and Henry Parra, but on Friday, investigators said more arrests are coming.
Investigators said they believe they have uncovered a criminal enterprise. Among the law enforcement agency on hand at Fridayโs multi-agency news conference were Coral Gables Police, the U.S. Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Authorities said Garcia and Perdomo stole more than $500,000 worth of property, including a Range Rover and a Porsche, between Aug. 20 and Aug. 22.

THIS JUDGE IS STILL ON THE BENCH?!?! Florida literally passed a LAW named after a murdered 5-year-old after Judge Tiffany Baker-Carper allowed a convicted child-sex offender to stay free while awaiting sentencing... and the Florida House STILL won't impeach her.
Daniel Spencer had already been FOUND GUILTY of traveling to meet a minor for s*x. Prosecutors asked Baker-Carper to take him into custody, but she refused and left him on bond.
Thirty-four days later, his 5-year-old stepdaughter Melissa โMissyโ Mogle was de*d, and Spencer was charged with m*rdering her.
Florida responded by passing Missyโs Law, which now requires defendants convicted of certain dangerous crimes to be locked up while awaiting sentencing.
Gov. Ron DeSantis and Attorney General James Uthmeier said that wasn't enough and demanded Baker-Carper's impeachment. DeSantis publicly asked why the Florida House wouldn't โstand up for Missy.โ
House Speaker Daniel Perez basically punted, saying โfuture legislatures can make that decision.โ
Meanwhile, Baker-Carper is STILL sitting in Florida's Criminal Felony Division.
A little girl d*ed. Florida changed the law in her name. And apparently THAT still wasn't enough for lawmakers to hold the judge at the center of it accountable.
This judge is literally the problem. When will these judges be held accountable?
