This is:
California Attorney General Rob Bonta, the husband of Mia Bonta, who authored the βStop Nick Shirley Act.β
π¨π¨ EXPLOSIVE BOMBSHELL BLACKMAIL VIDEO OF CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL ROB BONTA
Newly uncovered documents reveal that California Attorney General Rob Bonta was aware that one of his major donors was involved in serious criminal activity, including prostitution rings targeting elected officials, including minors; money laundering; illegal political donations; contract fraud; and the manipulation of straw donors.
A letter obtained by ABC7 reveals that defendant Andy Duong, in the corruption case tied to former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, secretly recorded a compromising video of Bonta. This may also explain why the Attorney General spent $468,000 in campaign funds on legal fees connected to FBI investigations.
In a May 9, 2024, letter to Bonta, Mario Juarez described his knowledge of alleged criminal activities by Oakland-based California Waste Solutions and its owners, the Duongs.
βI have firsthand knowledge of the Duong familyβs illegal activities, including money laundering, illegal political contributions, falsified contracts, and the use of straw donors. Their actions also involved facilitating prostitution for elected officials, including minors.β
Bonta βwas far more aware of the Duongsβ activities than anyone suspected,β said Steve Tavares of East Bay Insider.
βIt is interesting that this letter came out, gosh, more than a year ago now, and some of its allegations seem to have been proven sufficiently correct so that the feds are willing to take action on some of them,β said federal prosecutor Wilson Leung.
Now, who are the Duongs?
Former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao was criminally indicted by a grand jury on corruption charges, including bribery, racketeering, and perjury.
In 2024, Thao became the first mayor in Oaklandβs history to be recalled, following a surge in crime, murder, and homelessness.
This is just one of the indictments.
According to the indictment, Thao agreed to give city contracts and appointments to local businessmen David and Andy Duong. In return, the Duongs paid for $75,000 in attack ads against Thaoβs opponents during her mayoral election and paid another $95,000 to Andre Jones for a no-show job, with promises of more, all intended to benefit Thao and Jones personally.
Who is Andre Jones? The mayorβs f**k partner.
π This scandal surfaced when political watchdog Raphael Rothschild filed a formal complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), accusing Bonta of violating the Political Reform Act by spending nearly half a million dollars in campaign funds on what he claims was personal legal protection.
No one spends nearly half a million dollars on lawyersβlet alone an Attorney Generalβunless itβs really bad. I mean, really bad. Iβm talking Epstein-bad.

UPDATE: Nepal Flood Death Toll Hits 165 as More Than 1,300 Remain Missing
At least 165 people have died in Nepal after catastrophic flash floods swept through communities near the NepalβChina border on Wednesday, August 26. Another three deaths have been reported in Tibet, while more than 1,300 people remain missing across Nepal and Tibet.
The disaster was triggered by a glacial collapse in the Himalayas, which sent a massive surge of water, ice, rocks and mud down the river system. The U.S. Geological Survey said an initial seismic signal that was thought to be an earthquake was actually generated by the glacier and debris collapse.
Nepalese authorities reported 826 people missing in Nepal, while Chinese authorities reported 558 missing in Tibet. Hundreds of the missing are foreign nationals, including tourists and pilgrims.
The floods destroyed homes, roads and bridges, severely disrupting access to affected areas. Rescue teams are using helicopters, drones, search dogs and other emergency equipment to locate survivors and recover victims, but damaged infrastructure and difficult terrain are hampering operations.
At least 19 bridges and about 40 miles of roads were reportedly washed away in Nepal. Authorities are continuing rescue operations as fears remain that the death toll could rise.

Back in the 80's, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department used a variety of ways to say, "Join Us!" and recruit new deputies to fill the rank and file. From billboards and songs (stay tuned!) to PSAs and TV commercials, the Department reached beyond the ordinary run-of-the-mill pick ups like pencils and pamphlets to find qualified folks who were capable of thriving in the dynamic environment of law enforcement. Those commercials included some of the training we experienced both then and now.
On this week's look toward the past, we observe the time-honored tradition of the Driver Training Course and learn how to drive a patrol vehicle while navigating the dreaded traffic cone pattern at a high rate of speed. Then, as now, recruits learn how to maneuver through sticky situations and catch the bad guy.
The phone number at the end of the commercial no longer works, but if you're interested, you can still drive the company car and drive it really fast through those cones. Check out lasd.org/careers for more information!

HERO ALERT: These men had JUST been trained to spot human trafficking when they found themselves staring at a little girl from an AMBER Alert... and they BLOCKED THE SUSPECT'S CAR IN until police arrived.
Earlier this year, two-year-old Kehlani Rogers had been missing from her Avondale home for two days when a security guard at a Phoenix QuikTrip thought he recognized her.
Employees from Camelback Moving pulled up the AMBER Alert, realized the little girl matched it, and jumped into action.
The crew used their moving trucks to BLOCK the suspect's vehicle so she couldn't leave while police raced to the gas station.
Officers arrived, arrested 23-year-old Marina Noriega and recovered Kehlani SAFE and unharmed.
Some of those movers had completed Truckers Against Trafficking awareness training only weeks earlier, and were brave enough to step into action.
Make these men famous, and don't let the GOOD stories from this year be forgotten!

This could be one of the biggest blows to federal firearms regulation in decades.
A federal judge in Texas ruled that key provisions of the National Firearms Act can no longer be justified under Congress's taxing power after Congress eliminated the making and transfer taxes on silencers, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns and other covered firearms.
The reasoning is significant: if those provisions no longer generate tax revenue, the court ruled that the regulations cannot continue to stand on Congress's constitutional taxing authority. The permanent injunction is now in effect. But there is an IMPORTANT catch.
This is not a nationwide declaration that every NFA restriction has vanished. The injunction protects the plaintiffs and, where applicable, their members and customers. Other federal requirements and state laws may still apply. Gun owners and FFLs need to understand exactly what changed before acting on a headline.
We break down what the ruling DOES and DOESN'T do at the link below.
