OUTRAGEOUS: A North Carolina man accused of threatening MASS SHOOTINGS at FIVE Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools was released from jail DAYS before students went back to class.

Drew Owens faces five felony counts of communicating threats of mass violence on educational property.

Investigators say the threats targeted elementary, middle and high schools. He bonded out over the weekend and is now on electronic monitoring with orders to stay away from CMS property.

DEVELOPING: A manhunt is underway for Scott Dodd, who police say stabbed an officer in Gibsonburg Wednesday morning.

Sandusky County Sheriff Chris Hilton said a man stabbed an officer at the Union Bank in Gibsonburg Wednesday morning. Gibsonburg Police said the man at the center of the manhunt is Scott Dodd, 25, of Gibsonburg.

Police described Dodd as a white man with a scruffy beard, wearing blue jeans and wrapped in a blanket. Sheriff Hilton said this man is considered “armed and dangerous” and residents are asked to call 911 immediately if you see him.

A ‘blue alert’ from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office said Dodd appeared to be shot in the face, specifically on his right cheek.

The officer who was injured was taken to a level 1 trauma center in Toledo and was in surgery before 11 a.m. Authorities didn’t have additional information about her condition and have not yet released her name.

Woodmore Local Schools and Eastwood Schoools are under lockdown as this incident unfolds. A message from the district said all staff and students are accounted for.

Sheriff Hilton said multiple agencies are investigating the incident. They are also working to determine whether the officer who was stabbed fired her gun.

— ICE arrests surged to nearly 50,000 in July, the highest monthly total.

— DHS proposed a $103,000 fee on H-1B visa petitions.

— Philadelphia Fed's Manufacturing Survey showed American factories are having the strongest current conditions in more than five years.

— Manufacturers' expectations for the future surged to the highest level since the beginning of the Reagan boom in 1983, with the biggest one-year jump ever recorded.

Islam is a religion of evil but traditionally doesn't support transgender ideology, so what exactly are Michigan voters supposed to believe?

So has El-Sayed rejected traditional Islamic teaching on this issue, or is he embracing one of the Left’s most important cultural positions because that is what it takes to win as a Democrat?

The Dallas Police Department’s dedicated interdiction squad has led to another drug trafficker being sentenced to prison, and a nearly 200 pounds of dangerous drugs kept off the street. In October 2025, a narcotics detective and K9 partner Ballantine were doing routine inspections of luggage arriving at Dallas Love Field, when K9 Ballantine alerted his handler to the presence of drugs in six suitcases that had just arrived from Los Angeles, California, bound for Birmingham, Alabama. While those bags were pulled for further inspection, K9 Ballantine detected the presence of drugs in three suitcases from a different flight from Los Angeles that was also headed to Birmingham. In total, officers located approximately 180 pounds of methamphetamine between the nine suitcases and identified the five passengers who checked the bags on the two flights. Officers from DPD’s Love Field Unit located and arrested Curtis Steve, 35, Temarcus Jones, 37, Melanie James, 30, Arianna Booth, 23, and Jakoi Rice, 23, before they could depart on their flights to Birmingham. They were each charged with Manufacture / Delivery of Controlled Substance over 400 grams, a first-degree felony.

On August 18, 2026, Defendant Rice was convicted on his charge and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The remaining defendants’ cases are still pending trial. This investigation is documented under case number 147708-2025.
