🤠WILD WILD WEST..FREEWAY EDITION 🐎
It's not every day our officers have to deal with a different kind of horsepower!
These unexpected freeway travelers decided to take the express route, bringing traffic to a whole different kind of gallop.
Thankfully, officers were in the right place at the right time. All horses were safely guided off the freeway and out of harm's way.
No citations were issued… the suspects fled on hoof. 🐎💨
All jokes aside, animals on the freeway can create a serious hazard. If you encounter livestock or wildlife in the roadway, slow down, give them plenty of space, and call 9-1-1 so officers can respond safely.

Devastation through the communities of Naahehu/Waiohinu, Hawaii after significant flooding.
Multiple homes have been completely destroyed, dozens of vehicles underneath volcanic rock and debris, and the cemetery was partially destroyed as flood waters carried headstones and caskets of loved ones downstream. This is a truly heartbreaking situation unfolding on the south side of the Big Island. 🎥 Jordan Hall

🐢 Whether the task is big or small, DCSO Deputies do it all. Yesterday afternoon a Deputy noticed a turtle trying to cross a county road west of Elkhorn and stopped to make sure the little guy made it safely to his destination.
