NEW: 16 inmates were hospitalized after a lightning strike at the Grafton Reintegration Center, Ohio with no fatalities reported.

Sixteen inmates are in the hospital after a lightning strike at the Grafton Reintegration Center. The lightning struck Tuesday evening as the inmates walked back from dinner. Emergency crews declared a mass casualty incident at the prison, and ambulances from three counties rushed to the scene. One inmate was flown to a hospital for treatment. Prison officials say no deaths have been reported. It remains unclear why the inmates were outside while storms were in the area.

PURE EVIL: Governor Maura Healey has signed a law expanding abortion UNTIL BIRTH in Massachusetts.

Healey and her cronies were ALL SMILES while she signed the death warrant for innocent Massachusetts babies.

The new law allows a physician to authorize an abortion later in pregnancy based on his or her professional medical judgment.  We’ve seen this loophole before, and basically anything goes if a bloodthirsty doctor wants to make money off of a late-term mother.

Very late-term women could seek an abortion under this new law, even though the pregnancy would already have to end in delivery or surgery either way. There is NO REASON to ensure the delivery of a dead baby instead of a live one.

This is horrifying. Massachusetts women and children deserve better. Abortion is not health care, and babies are not disposable.

BREAKING: HCSO Florida announces the results of Human Trafficking operation.

"From June 8 to August 5, 2026, HCSO’s Human Trafficking Section, Internet Predator Squad, and Sexual Predator Unit worked together to identify and arrest individuals preying on children, women, and vulnerable members of the community. The operation resulted in 116 arrests and the recovery of five victims of human trafficking.

We carried out multiple enforcement strategies during the operation, including residential search warrants, warrants connected to dark web activity, undercover online chat and hotel/motel operations, traveling-to-meet-a-minor investigations, and sex offender checks.

Among those arrested was Frank Amiekumo, 35, who is accused of trafficking women and girls across Texas, Louisiana, and Florida for approximately four years. Detectives identified five victims in the case, three adult women and two juvenile girls, and believe additional victims may not yet have come forward. Amiekumo is being held at Orient Road Jail on no bond.

Selah Freedom and One More Child provided victim services throughout the operation. 

Since the Human Trafficking Section’s inception in 2021, it has made 1,343 arrests. The Internet Predator Unit, established in 2024, has made 368 arrests, and the Sexual Predator Unit, also established in 2024, has made 236 arrests.

When Cars Heat Up, Pets Pay the Price

Animal Control Officers Clark and Duplan responded to The Ridge Recreation Center after witnesses reported a dog locked inside a silver van. Video showed the dog had been left unattended for nearly four hours while outside temperatures were in the 80s.

The windows were closed, the doors were locked and there was no visible airflow. The dog was panting heavily, barking and showing signs of heat distress while sitting in direct sunlight. Recreation center staff searched nearby facilities and made announcements, but the owner could not be located. The van also had no license plates, preventing officers from quickly identifying the owner.

A JCSO deputy broke the passenger-side window, allowing Animal Control Officers to safely remove the dog through another door. The temperature inside the shaded side of the van was also in the 80s. Animal Control Officer Rivera placed the dog in an air-conditioned vehicle and transported it to Deer Creek Animal Hospital.

Veterinary staff determined the dog was stable, with only a slightly elevated body temperature. The dog was later returned to its owner, who reported that the van’s air conditioning had been left on but apparently stopped working. The owner was issued a summons for animal cruelty.

Vehicle air-conditioning systems can fail. Sunshades and having the windows cracked are never enough. Don’t leave an animal unattended in a vehicle.
