A wildfire that has burned tens of thousands of acres across California and Nevada is believed to be human-caused, officials said.

The Bug Fire started shortly before 4:10 p.m. Saturday east of Highway 395 and south of Bringman Road in Lassen County, Cal Fire said. When it was first reported, it had burned roughly 50 acres, but the fast-moving fire swept through around 800 acres in its first two hours of burning. Around 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Cal Fire said the fire was threatening the Cold Springs community in Washoe County on the Nevada side. Some of the acres burned were in Lassen and Sierra, but the fire remains most active in Nevada.

This. Is. INSANE. Cook County State’s Attorney admits m*rder suspects on electronic monitoring get two UNMONITORED free-to-roam days.🚨

In a recent interview, Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke confirmed that Illinois law requires a minimum of two β€œfree-to-roam” days each week for people on electronic monitoring. During those days they are not tracked.

She said 87 defendants charged with m*rder or attempted m*rder are currently on electronic monitoring in Cook County.

Another 181 are charged with s*xual as$ault. Roughly 10 to 12 percent of the more than 3,200 people supposed to be on monitoring are missing. That means over 300 are AWOL right now.

Burke called the entire system β€œbroken” and said it needs a legislative fix. She noted that very violent people are out committing new violent crimes on their free-to-roam time.

This is what soft-on-crime policies look like in practice.

President Trump announces that American citizen and former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman is finally coming home after more than four years of imprisonment in Russia, where he was detained in 2022 under the Biden administration.

"After my discussions with President Vladimir Putin, Russia has agreed to release him, very much on a Humanitarian Basis. We appreciate this decision, and the fact that Russia asked for no one in return β€” No exchange took place. Robert will land at Andrews Air Force Base, in Washington, D.C., tonight, where my Representatives, some of whom are on the plane with him, will welcome Robert back to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I just spoke to him, and he had one request β€” A GREAT cheeseburger when he lands. I will take care of that!" - President Donald J. Trump

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Today, NYPD alongside our federal, state, and city partners announced that more than 3,000 guns have been seized so far in 2026.

None of this would be possible without the cops who put their lives on the line to get these dangerous weapons off our streets.

Under President Trump’s leadership, this FBI is taking the fight directly to the global scam networks stealing Americans’ life savings.

Operation Blackout is delivering historic results:

β†’ $15.2 BILLION in illicit assets seized
β†’ Dozens of scam centers dismantled
β†’ Hundreds of criminals arrested
β†’ Thousands of trafficking victims freed
β†’ 7,500+ internet terminals shut down
β†’ Nearly 9,000 potential victims warned
β†’ $562 MILLION in estimated losses prevented

These aren’t simple call centers. They are transnational criminal enterprises trafficking human beings, laundering billions, and targeting Americans from overseas.

Honoring Loss with Action

A year ago, a community member's mother was killed by a reckless driver. Recently, his quick thinking stopped an alleged drunk driver in Douglas County.

After spotting a car weaving without plates, driving the wrong way down the road, hopping sidewalks, blowing red lights, and reaching 100 MPH, this witness immediately called 911.

Thanks to his description, DCSO day shift deputies took the driver into custody on suspicion of DUI.

We owe a sincere thank you to this witness. With the reminder of his own loss, his actions protected our community.

Keep calling in dangerous drivers. Your reports truly save lives.

*All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
