In just over 5 weeks, this FBI and the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud have captured four Most Wanted Fraudster subjects on three different continents charged with a combined nearly $1.8 billion in fraud β€” collectively on the run for over 3,500 days.

And even while each of these subjects were hiding overseas, this FBI quickly executed FTOC’s [Foreign Transfer of Custody] to return all of them to the U.S. in just 1.5 months β€” part of 30 high value targets we’ve returned since June.

The message is clear.

With President Trump and Vice President Vance at the helm, this FBI and our partners are cracking down on fraud and bringing alleged fraudsters back to justice at an unprecedented level.

Anyone who steals from American taxpayers will meet the full weight of justice no matter where they try to hide.

Car thefts across California dropped 25% in 2025, marking the second straight year of declining vehicle thefts, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP says 133,372 vehicles were stolen last year, down from 176,230 in 2024, with 84% of stolen vehicles eventually recovered. Officials credit the decline in part to targeted enforcement efforts in partnership with local law enforcement agencies in high-crime areas across the state. The downward trend began in 2024, marking California’s first year-over-year decrease in vehicle thefts since 2019.
