NEW: Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in Lexington, Nebraska, that turned into a physical struggle with a Dawson County deputy, according to a media release from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says the stop happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday after a deputy contacted a maroon-colored car for a suspected traffic violation.

Investigators say as the deputy conducted the stop and got out of the marked patrol unit, a rear passenger tried to get out of the vehicle. The sheriff’s office identified that passenger as 46-year-old Jose Andres-Jacinto. A second rear passenger also exited and was identified as 21-year-old Andres Andres-Diego.
The sheriff’s office says Andres-Jacinto did not comply with commands to return to the vehicle and began physically struggling with the deputy. The release says Andres-Diego also physically attacked the deputy.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, Deputy Sheriff Alejandro Martinez died from injuries he sustained on November 16, 2022, when he and fellow recruits from Academy Class 464 were struck by a vehicle during their morning physical training.

The class of 75 recruits was running in formation near the intersection of Mills Avenue and Telegraph Road in Whittier when an oncoming vehicle crossed the center line and plowed into the group. The driver struck 25 recruits before the vehicle came to a stop. Twelve recruits suffered catastrophic injuries that permanently ended their law enforcement careers.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Martinez was officially sworn in as a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy two weeks after the crash. He remained hospitalized in critical condition for more than eight months before succumbing to his injuries.

The driver was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and nine counts of reckless driving on a highway.

Deputy Martinez was also a soldier in the U.S. Army National Guard. He had served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for just eight weeks when he was critically injured. He is survived by his father and his sister.

NEW: Joint Base Charleston will be re-named in honor of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham.

The Pentagon is renaming Joint Base Charleston to Joint Base Lindsey Graham in honor of the late U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a decorated Air Force veteran and long-time advocate for the base. The decision follows an internal memo from Secretary of the Air Force, recognizing Graham’s decades of service and contributions to military infrastructure. The base is home to the nation’s largest C-17 fleet and plays a crucial role in East Coast military operations.

Sara Duffey had secured a protective order against her estranged husband. Another mother had also sought protection for her teenage daughter after making disturbing allegations against him.

Less than two weeks after Sara publicly referenced those allegations, police say her estranged husband apparently shot and killed her before taking his own life. A child inside the home escaped and called 911.

Leftists in Madison, Wisconsin are harassing police after a suspect with a very long criminal history was shot due to carrying a knife.

This suspect, a career violent criminal, arrested dozens of times, is out stealing, and when confronted by officers he fights them and slashes one with a knife!

The officer then shoots the suspect, but somehow this is all the officers fault and it’s racially motivated.
