POTUS: "No, I haven't. We're talking to them right now. I think they're getting more and more serious as the days go by... I consider that the smarter way, but the other's probably the easier way, doing what we're doing—and we can take that to a much higher level if we want to. We're prepared to do that, as you know. We're locked and loaded."

POTUS: "We're not after journalists, we're after leakers. We're after people that are cowards, people that are unpatriotic, people that are treasonous, in many cases—and the way you find them is through the journalists."

The DC Fire Department regrets to announce the death of active-duty Firefighter Technician Paula E. Brown, who passed away on 7/16/26.

She was appointed to the Department on 2/12/1989, to Engine 30. Firefighter Technician Brown was assigned to Air Unit 2 at the time of her passing.

One of two men accused in the killing and dismemberment of former Army roommate Matthew McLaughlin has accepted a plea agreement reducing his charge from first-degree murder to second-degree murder.

Authorities allege McLaughlin was killed before his body was dismembered and his remains were placed in bags and left in a wooded area. Investigators say the three men had previously served together in the Army.

The second defendant has not accepted a deal and is expected to face trial later this year. Read the latest development in the case and what the plea agreement could mean for the defendant’s sentence here:

Law Enforcement Officers being assaulted in unprovoked attacks in Paige Cognetti’s Scranton, how safe could you possibly be?

On Thursday around 9:15am a Lackawanna County Deputy Sheriff was assaulted in an unprovoked attack while outside the county Brixx building, 130 N Washington Ave.

The suspect immediately began choking the
Deputy with both hands around her neck taking the Deputy to the ground on her back while suspect continued choking her. Another Deputy observed what was happening and exited the building to assist. Female suspect was taken
into custody after a brief struggle.

Suspect Female 51 of Scranton is charged with:
Assault of a law enforcement officer felony
Aggravated assault felony
Simple assault misdemeanor
Strangulation felony
Terroristic threats misdemeanor
Disorderly conduct misdemeanor

Homelessness in City of Los Angeles has increased 3.4%

Homelessness in the County of Los Angeles has increased 1.2%

LAHSA's Chief of Staff says it's "not statistically significant" while calling for the need for increased funding.

NEW: A Delta County Texas Sheriff’s Office Deputy was injured while responding to and investigating a 911 hang-up call on Thursday.

During the investigation, the deputy made contact with the resident at the location. While speaking with the homeowner, an unsecured door to the residence allowed the homeowner’s dog to exit the home and bite the deputy.

The deputy received medical evaluation and treatment for the injury and is expected to make a full recovery.

In accordance with standard procedure, the dog has been placed under quarantine pending verification of its vaccination records and the completion of the investigation.

A Cook County judge was removed from the bench after two bar groups complained about a column he wrote for a conservative news site as a private citizen.

But this judge, who expresses liberal and anti-Trump views online, seems to be in the clear.

Colorado State Patrol

NEW: Colt Gray, 16, the teen accused of killing two teachers and two students and injuring nine others in the 2024 mass shooting at Georgia's Apalachee High School, pleaded guilty to all 55 charges in court on Friday morning.

Gray entered a "non-negotiated" plea, which means that he admitted guilt to all of his charges without a pre-arranged deal between his attorneys and the prosecution.

Gray, who was charged as an adult, is facing a total of 55 counts, including malice murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault. The judge will have the ultimate say in the sentence. The minimum is life with parole; the maximum is life without parole.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, California, is saddened by the passing of former Correctional Sergeant Cathi Ghiringhelli Williamson, affectionately known to many as “Ms. G." And her husband Yancy Williamson.

"Cathi served with the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office from September 22, 2010, through April 19, 2018. During her years of service, she earned the respect of both staff and the incarcerated individuals she supervised.

Ms. G was known for her professionalism, strength, and dedication, but also for her compassionate heart. She treated everyone with dignity and respect, and her impact was felt by many within our correctional facility and our Sheriff’s Office family."
