That's what Customs and Border Protection joked after K-9 Maisy sniffed out a suitcase arriving from Thailand packed with nearly 100 pounds of prohibited meat, plants and wildlife products.
Officers say the luggage was stuffed with raw meat, mangoes, garlic, bamboo, banana plants and even a Bengal monitor lizard — a large, powerful reptile native to South and Southeast Asia that can grow more than five feet long. The lizard was turned over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Officials say agriculture detector dogs like Maisy help stop invasive pests, animal diseases and illegal wildlife from entering the U.S.

Today was a bittersweet day for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office family as we gathered for the final sign-off of K-9 Recon, who is retiring after six years of dedicated service to the Osceola County community. Today also marks his 8th birthday, making the occasion even more meaningful.
Throughout his career, Recon exemplified loyalty, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to duty. As he officially signs off for the final time, we extend our deepest gratitude for his service and recognize the lasting impact he has made on our agency and the people we serve.

BREAKING: DHS confirms to FoxNews that ICE has arrested a Southwest Airlines flight attendant while at work on July 14th. DHS says Lorenzo Thompson is a Jamaican illegal alien who came to the US on a visa on 4/27/2021, which was set to expire on 10/16/2021, but he illegally overstayed it and failed to depart.
DHS says he will remain in ICE custody pending his immigration proceedings.
In a statement, Thompson's Dallas-based union (TWU Local 556) acknowledged his arrest, and said they've been in communication with his family and legal counsel.
The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement is decrying his arrest, claiming he has no criminal record, a valid work visa, and was "following every legal step toward citizenship.”

BREAKING: A man in alleged antisemitic attack is accused of stabbing two Jewish men, ages 40 and 50, on Manhattan's Upper West Side, according to government officials.
NYPD say the first victim was stabbed in the back while walking on a sidewalk. The suspect then allegedly stabbed a second man in the chest nearby at West 86th Street and Central Park West, Scootercaster reports.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are investigating whether the attack was hate crime-related. Suspect is in custody.

Today, family, friends, and fellow officers will gather to honor NYPD Officer Ryan Thomas McDonald, who passed away unexpectedly at just 28 years old.
The Orangeburg resident joined the New York City Police Department on Jan. 29, 2025, and was assigned to the 34th Precinct.
According to his obituary, McDonald loved serving as a police officer and found a strong sense of purpose in protecting New York City residents.

A bomb detection K9 with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office died after being accidentally left in a hot vehicle, leading the agency to push for newer patrol vehicles equipped with climate safety systems.
A North Carolina sheriff's office K-9 died last month after being accidentally left in a hot cruiser. Chilli, a bomb detection K-9 that had been with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office since May 2025, died June 11, and the following day, the agency ruled that the death had been an accident.

UPDATE: This afternoon, two people were stabbed in separate attacks on the Upper West Side. Both victims — an Asian male and a Jewish male — were removed to Mt. Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital, and both are expected to survive.
The NYPD has arrested 51-year-old Raul Morales in connection with both assaults, and no other people are being sought. Detectives are continuing to work the case and determine motive, but according to victim and witness statements, Morales yelled “Allahu Akbar” during both attacks. The NYPD is currently evaluating whether this is a potential hate crime.
While the perpetrator has no known mental health history with the NYPD, the initial investigation suggests that mental health may have been a factor.
At this time there is no known link between Morales and either of the victims, nor between the victims and each other.
I want to commend the bravery of a good Samaritan who led our officers to the location where the perpetrator was hiding, as well as our NYPD cops who brought an end to the incident without further injuries.
