Sparks erupted from the tail of a cargo plane as it attempted to land at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Video shows the Kalitta Air Boeing 777 scraping its tail along the runway before the crew aborted the landing, took back off and circled around for another attempt.
The plane landed safely a short time later, and no injuries were reported. Kalitta Air says the aircraft has been removed from service for inspection.

On Friday, July 17, the Sandy Springs Georgia Police Department Street Crimes Unit assisted the HSI Atlanta Field Office with the apprehension of Jorge Luis Delgado-Bermudez, who was WANTED on Fulton County drug charges, including methamphetamine and cocaine offenses. The suspect also has ties to a larger criminal organization and is facing federal charges.
As officers attempted to safely box in the suspect's vehicle near 8101 Colquitt Road, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier, causing its rear end to lift and land on top of a Sandy Springs Police patrol vehicle.
The suspect then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody without further incident.
No officers or members of the public were injured during the incident.

Regarding wildfires⦠I strongly suggest everyone read this.
Californiaβs Democrat leaders (especially Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi) are deliberately allowing wildfires get out of control so the state can get big federal bailout money.
The fact is⦠California is financially in deep shit⦠they are in debt and have been mismanaging money (like pouring billions into the bullet train project that keeps going way over budget).
Because of its sanctuary policies, the state has lost priority access to regular federal funding. California leadership came up with a workaround in Trumpβs first term:
1. Light fires (allow them to burn).
2. Declare a State of Emergency.
3. Ask the federal government for billions in disaster aid to βfixβ the problem.
Wildfires = the perfect excuse to declare an emergency and pull in massive federal checks.
Donβt you get it?
California will keep needing to create disasters to stay afloat financially because theyβve run the state into the ground.
If anyone recalls in 2018-2020β¦ countless people were arrested for arson. Deliberate coordination.
ββ The large majority of California wildfires are human-caused (typically 86β95% according to U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire data).
So when I say keep your eyes peeled California, I mean it. Between now and 2029, they are going to try to light as much shit on fire as they can.

RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz may have just saved American taxpayers more than $1 billion by pausing Medicaid payments to California and Minnesota.
If the states want the funding, they need to prove the payments are legitimate.
The days of taxpayer dollars meant for our most vulnerable being stolen are over.

COMMENTARY: Iranβs deadly crackdown is prompting a renewed argument about why Americaβs Founders protected an armed citizenry.
This NSSF commentary contrasts the overwhelming power of an armed government with a population left without meaningful means of defending itselfβand argues that the Second Amendment remains an essential safeguard against tyranny.

This morning, we had the honor of paying our respects to Nicholas Dale, the helicopter pilot who gave his life while fighting the Gold Mountain Fire.
Thank you for your service and your sacrifice, Mr. Dale. May you rest in peace.
Post update: We recognize that Mr. Dale was Canadian and that he came to our country to help fight a wildland fire and protect Colorado communities. I apologize for not including in the original post that he was Canadian. It was not an intentional omission and it was not in any way meant as a political statement. It was merely human error and it was mine (PIO). Please know we are grateful to Mr. Dale and our hearts break for his family, friends, fire-fighting colleagues, and fellow Canadian countrymen and women.

Congratulations to Deputy Brett Anderson on his recent retirement after more than 27 years of service to the Clark County Sheriff's Office! π
Brett joined CCSO as a Reserve Deputy in 1999 before becoming a full-time deputy in 2000. Throughout his career, he served in Patrol, Civil, Warrants, Courthouse, UAS (drone), Mobile Response Team, as an FTO, and with the Campus Tactical Unit. His favorite assignment, though, was Marine Patrol, where he spent four years full-time. As Brett likes to say, "Marine Patrol is the BEST job at CCSO!"
Brett is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, and "taking time to smell the roses." (Judging by the photo, he didn't waste any time getting started!) ππΉ
Thank you, Brett, for your 27 years of service and dedication to Clark County. We wish you nothing but smooth sailing in retirement! β
