A fugitive who spent more than two decades evading justice was arrested aboard a 56-foot yacht off the New Jersey coast.

Authorities say a Rhode Island task force, the FBI, state police, U.S. Marshals and New York law enforcement moved on new intelligence and located Ronald Fischer aboard a vessel registered under an alias.

He was arrested without incident and is awaiting extradition.

NEW: A Cape Coral Florida Police officer just got out of the hospital after this nasty crash last night at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard.

A Cape Coral police vehicle was struck by another driver who allegedly ran a red light on Santa Barbara and Veterans Parkway in Cape Coral on Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

NEW: Flash flooding in Nogales is believed to have turned deadly as monsoon storms swept through Southern Arizona.

News Tucson obtained an email from Nogales Fire Chief Ken Larriva stating “two bodies were reported floating face down in the Nogales Wash.”

BREAKING: Multiple homes were damaged or destroyed in Roy, Utah.

A fire broke out in Roy, Utah Monday afternoon and is causing delays to the FrontRunner train service in the area. There were two fires in the area along the railroad tracks in Roy/Ogden.

One of the homes that was damaged in the fire in Roy had thousands of rounds of ammunition in it. In this video you can hear little pops and explosions as the fire burned.

A Tennessee mother is being held without bond after police say she fatally shot a man who had been hiding under her 13-year-old daughter’s bed.

According to the arrest affidavit, the girl said she had invited the man inside and that he was gathering his things to leave when the shot was fired. The mother told officers, “I did what I had to do.”

She now faces first-degree murder and a firearm charge.

No Police Response after 911 Call ... then Someone was Shot Dead ... called the police, knowing a problem was imminent. Twenty minutes later, shots were fired ...

Malik McCorkle (30) was shot and killed during a fight outside King of Cups bar in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a fight broke out outside the bar, then an unknown suspect pulled out a gun and shot the 30-year-old man multiple times in the body.

Marc Kramer who lives nearby was coming home when he saw large crowds outside a nightclub near Belden and Lincoln avenues.

He called the police, knowing a problem was imminent. Twenty minutes later, shots were fired.

"There were people on the street, in the middle of the street drunk, there was a crowd gathering," Kramer said. "I called the police and it's been a regular occurrence around here."

Neighbors are getting fed up as this is the second shooting in this area the past few months.

In June, a 39-year-old woman was also shot just down the street on Belden. Alderman Timmy Knudsen said there would be additional patrols in the area after that shooting.

"The alderman is aware of it; police are aware of it and it's just gotten worse," Kramer said.

"At this point, I think some action needs to be taken," said John Lowe, who lives nearby. "I think our alderperson needs to start looking at pulling some liquor licenses."

Lowe has lived in the area for 30 years. He said some problem bars should have their licenses revoked, given the danger they're bringing to the neighborhood.
