Yesterday and into the early morning hours of today, the FBI responded to a hostage situation in Shasta-Trinity National Forest in Redding, CA – where two individuals took two U.S. Forest Service biologists as hostages.

FBI Sacramento, including our Crisis Negotiators, SWAT Team, and Evidence Response Team all arrived on scene, including a tactical deployment of our Hostage Rescue Team from Quantico. After nearly 10 hours of negotiations, the hostages were safely released – and subjects Joseph Henrichsen and Phoenix Henrichsen surrendered and were immediately taken into custody.

I am proud of the immediate and professional work of these elite FBI teams to assist our partners for a safe and successful resolution.

Oklahoma City honors the life, legacy of M.T. Berry, first Black police chief, former assistant city manager

Oklahoma City’s first Black police chief and former Assistant City Manager, M.T. Berry, passed away from a lengthy battle with brain cancer on July 17. He was 75.

Berry began his career with the City of Oklahoma City on Sept. 1, 1970, as a community service officer in the Oklahoma City Police Department. One year later, he was sworn in as a police officer. Throughout his career, he served in several areas of the OKCPD, including the jail, records office, public information office and the patrol division.

Berry’s work ethic, professionalism and integrity quickly distinguished him as an invaluable member of the department and on March 3, 1998, Berry was appointed Oklahoma City’s 47th Police Chief. He served in that role for five years.

As Police Chief, Berry oversaw the planning, organizing and direction of all police services for the City. He led nearly 1,300 employees and managed a budget of $119.6 million.

Through nearly five decades of service, he led with quiet strength and a profound sense of purpose, leaving a legacy that continues to make our city stronger and all of us better.

CENTCOM Update on Recently Fallen U.S. Service Members

TAMPA, Fla. — Yesterday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the passing of two U.S. service members and the missing status of one in Jordan following an Iranian attack on July 17. After a thorough search, U.S. military personnel found unidentified remains at the location earlier today. An examination process to verify the remains is ongoing.

Separately, a U.S. service member in northern Iraq was killed in action July 18 during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone. A second service member was wounded and continues to receive medical treatment for a minor injury.

CENTCOM is withholding additional information, including the identities of the missing and fallen warriors, out of respect for the families during the notification process.

Two Philadelphia officers stopped after seeing a man drop his keys and asked whether he was OK. The interaction lasted approximately 20 seconds and ended after he declined to adjust the bag he was wearing.

The city’s police oversight commission is now investigating whether the encounter followed department policy.

The Third US Circuit Court of Appeals (based in Philadelphia) just ruled 10-5 that New Jersey's ban on semi-automatic rifles and large capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds) is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

This is the first time that an appeals court ruled that a state's weapons ban violated the Second Amendment.

Unless you are following these things, or you just got lucky scrolling, you probably didn't see anything about this ruling because the lamestream media doesn't want you to know.

This court based it's decision on the SCOTUS 2022 Bruen decision. The Bruen decision stated in part that modern gun restrictions must be, "consistent with this nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”

Like I said before, the rifle bans and the magazine bans the Washington state Democrats passed are unconstitutional, and this sheriff will not enforce those unconstitutional laws.

Several stripped vehicles were filmed near the Hollywood Burbank Airport, with some reduced to little more than the frame. Engines, doors, interiors, and just about everything else had been removed.

California leaders can keep saying crime is under control, but videos like this are why so many people don’t buy it. When you have to worry about coming back to a stripped-out car, something clearly isn’t working.

Six men have been charged following a 14-month undercover investigation that authorities say disrupted a major gun and narcotics trafficking operation in New York.

Law enforcement recovered 47 illegal handguns, approximately 900 grams of cocaine, and 150 grams of heroin. Investigators say firearms were obtained from several states and trafficked into Queens and Nassau County, with some weapons reportedly linked to crimes in other jurisdictions.

The operation brought together local police, prosecutors, the DEA, ATF, NYPD, Suffolk County Police, and the Secret Service.

Deputy Muon’s healing journey continues at home, but today was a celebration worth sharing!
