NEW: A Jefferson County Colorado deputy crashed while on the way to assist another deputy at a hospital, according to a statement made to FOX31 from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning.

The deputy had lights and sirens on and lost control of the vehicle on Hampden Avenue near Sheridan Boulevard.

He was responding to the Swedish Hospital to assist another deputy.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office clarified that this was a single-vehicle crash and did not involve a chase.
The deputy who crashed sustained minor injuries.

UPDATE: A 15-year-old alleged gang member has been arrested in connection with the East Los Angeles shooting that injured four people after a World Cup gathering. Two women, ages 21 and 38, were also arrested for their alleged roles in luring the primary victim to the location and helping the suspect evade arrest.
