NEW: A Shelbyville Indiana police officer was injured in a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

In a Facebook Post, the Shelbyville Police Department indicated that, around 3:30 p.m., its officers were pursuing multiple suspects who “had allegedly committed crimes in another county.”

That pursuit ultimately resulted in a crash. Per SPD, one officer was also “involved in a crash responding to the pursuit.” It’s currently unclear if the officer was injured in the crash that was the result of the pursuit or a separate crash entirely.

Officials have confirmed that the injured officer was transported to a local hospital to have minor injuries they sustained in the crash treated. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

NEW: ICE announces that its Rio Grande Valley field office in Harlingen, TX recently made a record setting 238 arrests of illegal in a single day, the highest daily total ever recorded for the office. Targets arrested included aliens with rap sheets for kidnapping, sex crimes, weapons & drug crimes, and many prior deportations.

ICE statement: “The ICE mission continues to focus on enhancing public safety and restoring integrity to our nation’s immigration system,” said ICE Harlingen Field Office Director Juan Agudelo. “We will stop at nothing to keep our American communities safe by removing one criminal illegal alien at a time.”
