WATCH: President Donald J. Trump says military strikes against Iran will continue "until I say it's enough."

In an exclusive interview with FOX News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, Trump was asked whether his objectives in Iran would require U.S. ground forces.

POTUS on Iran: "I guess you could define it any way you want, but certainly we’re beating them up really badly. They have to be beaten up. We’re hitting them very, very hard. We’re hitting every single thing that they have along the shore, along the waterfront. If you look at the Strait of Hormuz... We have to keep it open. I was going to charge a fee, but instead [Gulf States] would rather spend a lot of money in the United States, which frankly, is better."

"Will these strikes continue?"

POTUS: "They'll continue until I say it's enough."

POTUS: "We already hit Kharg Island as you know twice... as far as taking it is concerned, if we degrade them far enough and deep enough back, I would do that."

POTUS on the Iranian regime: "The only way you can negotiate with these people through strength, and the only strength is military strength β€” and that's what we've done."

POTUS on the Strait of Hormuz: "It's open if people want to go through it. We're not opening it for Iran. That's the only one it's closed for... Now, a lot of things have happened in the last few monthsβ€”pipelines are being built. We're coming up with great alternatives, including Texas, including Alaska."

POTUS on Iran's Pickaxe Mountain: We're looking at Pickaxe because somebody said there's a little activity. We have cameras, they can read your name and a badge from spaceβ€”and every area of Pickaxe. If they make any move, we immediately go and do whatever we have to do.

POTUS on Iran: "We're going to hit them very hard tonight. We're going to hit them very hard tomorrow night. We're going to hit them very hard the night after... We're going to knock out all their power plants, we're going to knock out all their bridges, unless they get to the table and negotiate."

POTUS: "It just never stops... They wanted a nuclear weapon. We knew they wanted a nuclear weapon."

Trey Yingst: "They said they didn't want a nuclear weapon."

POTUS: "Everything they say is a lie. They lie β€” I've never seen anything like it."

POTUS: "Every time they make a deal, they break it."

He says his message to what's left of the Iranian regime's leadership is: "You better make a deal. You're not going to have anybody left."

A 13-year-old daughter found her mother deceased - while the rejected asylum applicant the police wanted to question was already fleeing the country.

American Jamey Carney moved to Ireland just to be found beaten and suffocated inside her home.

Irish media identified Ahmad Al-Saqar β€” a rejected asylum applicant who was reportedly in a relationship with her β€” as a person of significant interest.

Police say he left Ireland before Jamey’s body was even discovered. He has now been detained in Jordan, but he has not been charged in connection with her death.

Share Jamey’s story. Her family deserves answers, accountability and justice.

KPD Crime Scene Technician Cody Lawson, who was wounded by a gunman early Monday morning on Jones Street, remains hospitalized and has another surgery scheduled for today. She is in good spirits but has a long road to recovery ahead.

We have set up an account at the Knoxville Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union to support Cody and her family in their time of need. Members of the community are invited to contribute to that fund. Donations must be made in person at 501 E. Summit Hill Drive.

We have been overwhelmed by the incredible support Cody, her colleagues in the Forensics Unit and our department have received. We are extremely grateful for that support from the community and our law enforcement partners alike, and we ask that you continue to keep Cody and her family in your thoughts in the days, weeks and months to come.

NEW: One Columbus police officer was shot by another while responding to a call Tuesday on the Northeast Side.

The officer was taken to a hospital is expected to recover.

According to Sgt. James Fuqua, just after 6 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Divot Place on reports of a domestic dispute.

There was a dog on scene, leading to an altercation with the officers. This led to at least one officer firing their gun and accidentally striking the other officer. The dog also was shot, and its condition is unknown.

The officers were not attempting to fire at a suspect or anyone else. No one else was struck by gunfire.

β€œWe will still go through our full investigation with that,” Fuqua said. β€œIn terms of the discharge of a firearm, you’ll see plenty of investigators here. We don’t treat it any differently. We want to be thorough in that.”

No arrests were made out of the domestic dispute, and Columbus police are conducting an investigation into the shooting.

Please, praying for all involvedπŸ™πŸ»

Headed out of town? Take a few simple steps before you leave to help keep your home safe while you're away.

A little preparation can go a long way:

βœ…Lock all doors, windows, and gates.
βœ…Use timers or smart lighting to make your home appear occupied.
βœ…Pause your mail and newspaper deliveries or have a trusted neighbor collect them.
βœ…Ask a trusted neighbor to keep an eye on your property.
βœ…Wait until you return home before sharing vacation photos on social media.
βœ…Contact your local LASD Sheriff's Station to see if residential vacation checks are available in your community. Many stations offer vacation patrol checks through deputies or Volunteers on Patrol, resources permitting.

Your vacation should be about making memories, not worrying about what's happening back
home.

Have a safe trip this summer and enjoy your vacation!
