On July 1, 2026, Trooper 2 (MSP Helicopter) assisted the Troy Police Department and Detroit Police Department during a stolen ATV investigation. During the incident, the suspect attempted to carjack another vehicle while fleeing from law enforcement.

Once again, Trooper 2’s aerial support played a key role in the successful arrest of the suspect, demonstrating the value of aviation in helping officers safely track suspects and coordinate an effective response.
