"The Trump administration said its aggressive crime-fighting agenda was responsible for the historic lows in homicides recorded by major cities throughout the country."
The Trump administration attributes the historic nationwide drop in homicides to its tough-on-crime policies, including deploying federal law enforcement and supporting law enforcement efforts. Major cities like New York, Baltimore, and New Orleans have seen significant reductions in violent crime, with homicide rates reaching lows not seen in decades.

Shaq caught wind of this 7-foot-3 kid in Kemah, Texas who powered through the police academy only to fall one point short on the state exam. His whole dream of becoming an officer looked like it was slipping away right there.
Then Shaq jumped in and covered the guyβs living expenses for the next five months so he wouldnβt have to juggle a second job and could zero in on passing that test. Because of that extra push, Jordan Wilmore got back in, nailed it, and just got sworn in as a Kemah police officer.

On July 8, 2026, at approximately 6:04 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Grand Rapids Post responded to westbound I-96 at M-6 after receiving a report of a woman in active labor.
A 25-year-old woman from Clarksville was being driven to the hospital by her 24-year-old husband when she went into active labor. Before they could arrive at the hospital, she gave birth inside their vehicle.
Troopers, along with the Cascade Township Fire Department, Kent County Sheriff's Office, and Life EMS, responded to assist the family. Both the mother and newborn appeared to be healthy and doing well.
Congratulations to the proud parents on their newest addition! The Michigan State Police would also like to thank all of our public safety partners for their quick response and teamwork in helping ensure a safe outcome for both mother and baby.

BREAKING: First time hearing testimony from Tyler Robinson's roommate and lover, Lance Twiggs, in a pre-recorded video interview with law enforcement
Matt Finn
Twiggs: βWe started dating two to three months after we moved in.β
Tyler Robinson's lover Lance Twiggs testifies in a recorded video that he had not personally heard Robinson talk about Charlie Kirk before. Robinson didn't talk about LGBTQ or gender issues much. If Robinson talked about politics it was usually related to President Trump, policies or issues being voted on

For the first time ever, the FBI is now complaint with our IT systems against insider threats.
In September 2021, the Committee for National Security Systems Directive 504 (CNSSD 504) established minimum insider threat and User Activity Monitoring (UAM) requirements for all Executive Branch agencies - including keystroke monitoring, full application content capture, screen capture, file shadowing, and user attribution.
Previous leadership did little to nothing about it β leaving the Bureau vulnerable and out of compliance for years.
We fixed it.
This week, we got the official update that the FBI is 504 compliant against insider threats for the first time ever.
When you see media criticize changes we are making at your FBI, this is what they leave out β predecessors did nothing to fix many egregious problems making the FBI and ultimately the country more vulnerable. Every day under this administration we are fixing those problems and better serving you.
