U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed a new round of offensive strikes against Iran, July 7, hitting over 80 targets with precision munitions as an immediate response to Iran's latest attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces struck Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats in and near the strait to degrade Iran’s ability to continue attacking international commerce flowing through the international trade corridor.

Iran recently attacked three commercial vessels transiting the strait including Marshall Islands-flagged M/T Al Rekayyat, Saudi Arabia-flagged M/T Wedyan, and Liberian-flagged M/T Cyprus Prosperity. The unwarranted aggression by Iranian forces is a clear and dangerous violation of the ceasefire and undermines freedom of navigation.

CENTCOM forces remain postured and prepared to hold Iran accountable when the agreement is not adhered to or obeyed.

Law enforcement officers, firefighters, family, friends, and members of the community gathered Tuesday morning at The Woodlands Church to honor fallen Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Erika Serrato.

A large American flag hung between two fire department ladder trucks as Deputy Serrato’s hearse arrived, while first responders stood in solemn formation to pay their respects. The funeral service follows a procession that traveled south on Interstate 45 before arriving at the church.

Why so much security? Utah County Sheriff Mike Smith says it's about protecting everyone involved in the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing.

With armed deputies, tactical officers and increased courthouse security drawing attention, Smith told KUTV the precautions reflect the emotions surrounding the high-profile case.

"When there's such highly charged emotions on both sides of this, we have to factor that in and account for emotions," Smith said. "Everybody's emotions can go from sorrow to rage. So you want to make sure that when it goes to rage, we're here to make sure it's safe."

Robinson is accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in 2025. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The preliminary hearing is expected to continue throughout the week.

NEW: A Georgia State Patrol trooper was injured in a crash Tuesday, the agency said.

GSP said the trooper was driving north on Georgia 400 near Abernathy Road around 3:45 p.m. when traffic came to a sudden stop. The trooper was unable to stop in time, hitting the rear bumper of another car.

The force of the collision caused that car to strike the rear bumper of a third car.

The trooper was treated for their injuries at the scene, the driver of the second car was hospitalized and the driver of the third car refused treatment.

NEW: Appeals court unanimously upholds dismissal of civil case against Trooper Londregan

Attorney Chris Madel plans to seek legal fees from Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office, saying Ellison ignored the statute that requires his office to represent Londregan without conditions.

"Ellison is going to have to answer for this anti-cop bullshit. We’re not done," he said.

The Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing starts at 1pm tomorrow, half day. We are expecting to hear the police interview with Lance Twiggs, Robinson's roommate and reported romantic partner.
The interview was next up on the prosecutions list of evidence, we were expecting to hear this today but the DNA evidence took a large portion of the day today.
