Yesterday, we celebrated the retirement of Officer Mejia and an incredible 31 years of service to the Anaheim community.
Her dedication helped make Anaheim a better, safer place, and she leaves behind memories that will stay with everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.
To say she was "well-liked" doesn't even begin to describe the difference she made. Officer Mejia has been the heart of this department, always ready with a hug, a smile, or words of encouragement when they were needed most. Her positivity lifted those around her, and her compassion brought comfort to countless community members during some of life's most difficult moments.
Now it's time for a new adventure. Knowing Officer Mejia, retirement won't keep her still for long. As you continue traveling the world, don't forget to think of Anaheim every now and then. We'll certainly be thinking of you.
Officer Mejia, thank you for 31 years of dedication, friendship, and unwavering service. You have left this department and our community better than you found it, and your legacy will continue to inspire those who follow.
Congratulations on a well-earned retirement! We will miss you!

BREAKING: An illegal alien from Mexico was shot and killed in Houston by an ICE officer following a confrontation.
According to ICE, officers were trying to pull him over when he evaded arrest, rammed the ICE vehicle, and tried to run over the ICE officer. As a result, ICE tells me the officer shot the suspect in self-defense. He was taken to the hospital and died.
Full statement from ICE:
βOn July 7, 2026, at approximately 6:50 AM CT, ICE law enforcement attempted to conduct a vehicle stop as part of a targeted enforcement operation to arrest an illegal alien. The driver of the vehicle, Lorenzo Salgado Araujoβan illegal alien from Mexicoβattempted to evade arrest. From information we are receiving, he rammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused to follow multiple verbal commands, and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense.
βThe driver was struck, and emergency services were immediately contacted. The driver was transported to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The FBI is leading the investigation and is on the scene. This is a developing situation, and we will update the public when more information is available.β

DNA 𧬠Evidence; A bolt-action rifle wrapped in a dark-colored towel was found in woods near the Utah Valley University campus and introduced as evidence Tuesday afternoon in Tyler Robinsonβs preliminary hearing.
Jennifer Faumuina, who was with the Utah State Bureau of Investigation at the time of the shooting, testified that the rifle was documented, packaged and sent first to the FBI and later to a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives laboratory.
Investigators also collected a screwdriver found on the rooftop of the Losee building on campus, Faumuina said.
DNA testing on the towel matched two people, including Robinsonβs roommate Lance Twiggs, according to her testimony. A bolt-action rifle wrapped in a dark-colored towel was found in woods near the Utah Valley University campus and introduced as evidence Tuesday afternoon in Tyler Robinsonβs preliminary hearing.
FBI DNA analyst Amanda Bakker says Tyler Robinson was included as a βpossible contributorβ of the DNA on the screwdriver and towel.
She let the local investigators know about that result on Sept. 13, she says.
U.S. Department of Justice policy is that examiners donβt use language like βabsolute identificationβ or βreasonable degree of scientific certainty,β she says.

BREAKING: U.S. Central Command forces have begun launching a series of powerful strikes against Iran to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping crewed by innocent civilians in an international waterway. The U.S. strikes are in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iranβs demonstrated aggression was unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire.

California should be setting the standard. Instead, too many of our communities are struggling with trash, encampments, unsafe conditions, and public spaces that residents and visitors deserve to enjoy. The leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass has FAILED US! Failed to address these problems effectively, despite billions being STOLEN AND GONE MISSING of taxpayer dollars ARE GONE AND THE homelessness PROBLEM is only gotten worse !!. Californians deserve accountability, transparency, and measurable resultsβnot excuses.
As for us, weβre not waiting around for someone else to fix it. Weβre out there trying to make a difference.

UPDATE: Dozens arrested in federal crackdown on India-based crime groups.
"Today, as part of βOperation Hard Ball,β law enforcement in the U.S., Canada, and Europe unsealed indictments charging 37 defendants linked to three India-based criminal syndicates in three separate indictments.
These defendants, including two crime bosses already imprisoned in India, are charged with racketeering conspiracy, extortion, trafficking bulk quantities of cocaine by semi-trucks, and murder, including the June 2023 assassination of a political and religious figure as he left a Sikh temple in broad daylight in Canada.
Victims of these transnational criminal syndicates include members of the Indian diaspora, some in the Los Angeles area. They were extorted and threatened by these criminals, who used their notoriety for violence to make money. Another cash cow was drug trafficking, including shipping cocaine and other narcotics stolen from rival crews from the U.S. into Canada.
These ruthless criminals spread misery worldwide. Law enforcement agencies will continue to coordinate globally to combat them wherever they are.
