Storms bring luck to whatever the occasion. They also make events a little bit more exciting! We will wait it out, I don’t care if it’s 2:00 O’Clock in the morning, or in one hour from now. Looks like it is going to pass, they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the “what” usually turns out to be a good thing. It’s Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 O’Clock for the speech. Who cares??? Remember two weeks ago when the big UFC Event was at 100% chance of heavy rain, all week long, and just minutes before the card started. Well, there wasn’t a single drop, and the fights turned out to be among the greatest in history, an event for the ages. Our great veterans, especially the old timers, many of whom are there, went through hellfire, and it didn’t stop them. It’s not going to stop us either! I’m not going to let some rain stop our 250th. The National Mall has quickly become a ghost town.

Salute to America guests were evacuated from the site as severe thunderstorms rolled into the area, with loudspeakers ordering everyone to leave, assisted by National Guards and Secret Service.

Bill Melugin says attendees were visibly frustrated as they were leaving, and there is currently no update on a reopening or when the event will resume.

Please, pray for Shreveport Police officer who was shot in the line of duty overnight🙏🏻

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A Shreveport Police officer is in the hospital and a suspect is dead after a shooting in downtown Shreveport.
This reportedly started at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the alley behind the Sand Bar in the 400 block of Spring Street.
According to the Louisiana State Police, who have been put in charge of the investigation, The unnamed officer was responding to reports of a fight, when they encountered an armed suspect.
The Shreveport Police Department says the two exchanged fire, with the suspect reportedly shooting first and the officer returning fire after being hit. 
Both were taken to a local hospital. The suspect was pronounced dead.
The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

NEW: Multiple people are injured after a serious fireworks accident in Chino on the Fourth of July.

A witness said a large group of people was gathered in the street for a fireworks display when some of the fireworks exploded too close to the ground. Video shows people scattering as a car is fully engulfed in flames.

Texas: Last night, a family was celebrating in the backyard of a residence in the 1500 block of Park Drive when a 9-year-old child was struck by a bullet. Investigators believe the round came from celebratory gunfire in the area.

The source of the gunfire remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. The child was transported to a hospital after being struck in the arm and is reported to be in fair condition.

We urge the public to help identify anyone responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000 or @CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

UPDATE: Sad to confirm both the 74-year-old and the 2-year-old have been pronounced deceased.

Our hearts are heavy and our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones affected by this devastating loss.

Detectives and investigators remain on scene working to determine exactly what happened. Water safety is critically important—especially around young children.

NEW: A massive Fourth of July gathering, reportedly organized through TikTok, descended into chaos in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA, after thousands of teenagers packed the beach. Videos from the scene show fireworks being launched into crowds and across nearby streets as officers in riot gear, along with mounted police on horseback, responded to the disturbance. Video showed debris left behind and at least one person being detained by officers.
Amid the unrest, a fight was reported, and a 911 call reporting a possible shooting was also received.
Reports suggested around 100 arrests, though details remain unconfirmed.
Officials have not yet confirmed details surrounding that call.

The Crowd at 7:05 in the evening was 422,000 people! All were forced to leave because of the weather, the event was cancelled, and everyone was gone because of lightning. When I heard that it was cancelled, I immediately overturned that decision, and waited a while for people to come back. Incredibly, at least 150,000 people returned, and it was an even more spectacular evening than it would have been as normalized! It showed work under pressure. Congratulations to the Secret Service and Law Enforcement on being able to get so many people back into the Arena in such rapid fashion! Shocking video has emerged from a chaotic “teen takeover” in North Charleston, South Carolina, showing a White female police officer being severely beaten by a mob of Black teens. The officer was swarmed, repeatedly struck, and hit with what appears to be a Roman Candle firework during the attack.

This is not isolated “youthful mischief.” “Teen takeovers” — large groups of mostly Black teens coordinating via social media to overwhelm areas, fight, damage property, and attack police — have been rising sharply in cities across America. These incidents often feature extreme violence with little fear of consequences.

It is why getting the Protect and Serve Act (S. 167 / H.R. 1551) passed into law this session is an absolute must.
