BREAKING: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted strikes against Iran, June 26, as a powerful response to yesterday’s attack on a commercial ship that was transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites after Iran hit M/V Ever Lovely on June 25 with a one-way attack drone. The Singapore-flagged cargo ship was exiting the Strait of Hormuz along the Omani coast at the time of Iran’s attack.
The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire. Furthermore, Iran’s dangerous behavior undermined freedom of navigation as commerce increasingly flows through the vital international trade corridor.
CENTCOM forces continue to provide safe passage coordination and support to commercial vessels transiting the strait. The U.S. military remains present and vigilant to ensure all aspects of the agreement with Iran are adhered to, obeyed, and in full force and effect.

WATCH: A woman had a frighteningly close encounter with a grizzly bear as she was walking her dog at a wilderness camp in Alberta, Canada, on Wednesday, June 24.
The woman had just stepped outside with her morning coffee in hand to walk her dog Skoki down the gravel driveway when the bear appeared.
In order to get away, she threw her coffee mug and when she saw the bear go to investigate it, she started running. When she looked back, the grizzly was chasing her once again.
She ran back to where she had been camping with a group and others yelled and motioned at the bear. It eventually wandered off and chased a moose.

Los Angeles says it doesn’t have enough money to fix our crumbling sidewalks. Yet the city walked away from $100 million in state funding that was specifically intended to repair sidewalks in underserved communities like Skid Row, Wilmington, and Boyle Heights because it said it couldn’t get the work done on time. That’s not a funding problem—it’s a leadership problem. Our neighborhoods deserve safe sidewalks, responsible management, and leaders who know how to deliver results instead of letting opportunities slip away.

NEW: Deputy Injured, Several Hospitalized After Pursuit Ends In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Hesperia Road In Victorville, California.
A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy was injured and an armed Victorville transient was arrested Thursday after authorities said he led deputies on a vehicle pursuit that ended in a multi-vehicle collision before fleeing on foot and forcing his way into an occupied motel room.
According to the written statement, the incident began at about 12:42 p.m. when deputies from the Victorville Police Station conducted a vehicle check on a white Dodge Magnum near Interstate 15 and D Street after it matched the description of a vehicle connected to a report of a man seen with a gun the previous day.
Deputies attempted to contact the driver after activating their emergency lights. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Vincent Clemons, allegedly drove toward the deputies before fleeing, prompting a vehicle pursuit.
Authorities said Clemons fled at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at signaled intersections. As he approached the intersection of B Street and Hesperia Road, he allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign and collided with a silver Subaru traveling northbound on Hesperia Road and a silver Toyota RAV4 traveling southbound.
The sheriff’s department said the Subaru subsequently collided with a cement wall, overturned, and struck a parked, unoccupied silver Honda Pilot.
During the investigation, deputies recovered a firearm from inside Clemons’ vehicle.
Clemons, along with the involved drivers and passengers from the collision, was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
A deputy also sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital and has since been released, according to the sheriff’s department.
Praying for all involved🙏🏻

On Monday, June 22, 2026, Palmdale Sheriff Station deputies responded to a vehicle‑versus‑pedestrian collision near 6th Street East and Avenue Q‑12 in Palmdale. Deputy Barrios and Detective Martinez reviewed surveillance video and canvassed the area for witnesses.
Footage showed a white Toyota Corolla speeding southbound, crossing into oncoming lanes, and deliberately steering toward a skateboarder near the east curb. The driver made no attempt to brake, struck the victim, hit the curb, and fled without rendering aid. The victim hit the vehicle’s windshield.
Based on the video, statements, and evidence, investigators determined the act was an intentional assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect is in custody and charged with attempted murder. The victim remains in critical condition. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
“I am proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our deputy personnel throughout this investigation. Their attention to detail, persistence, and teamwork led to the identification and apprehension of a wanted suspect, reflecting the high level of dedication our personnel bring to serving and protecting the community every day.” Palmdale Sheriff’s Station- Captain Joshua Bardon

An evening update from the Cottonwood Fire outside Beaver, Utah, from Great Basin Team 5:
“On the west-side of the fire, outside of the City of Beaver, fire activity located in Baker Canyon put up a large convection column and exhibited extreme uphill runs. That fire behavior prompted the Beaver County Sheriff's Office to move the community of North Creek into "Set" evacuation status, which was later reduced back to "Ready."
Throughout this afternoon and into this evening, crews worked to establish firebreaks in the area.
The smoke column was substantial and caused smoke impact over the mountain in Marysville, carried by SW winds.
On the east-side, the fire was active above Cottonwood Canyon located south of the 2024 Silver King Fire. Crews continued to put in fireline and improve existing features in this area. This work will continue into the night shift.
Evacuation centers have been established in Beaver for anyone who has evacuated due to the fire. They are located at: The National Guard Armory, the Beaver High School, and Beaver City Hall.
Red Flag conditions will continue through the night and into tomorrow. Please be extraordinarily careful with anything that could spark a fire.”
