In cities across northern Venezuela, neighbors helped each other dig through rubble to search for loved ones after back-to-back earthquakes. At least 589 people have been killed and thousands others injured.

President Trump promised that the U.S. would help its “new friends” in Venezuela after major earthquakes rocked the South American nation.

BREAKING: The Islamic Republic of Iran shot at least four One Way Attack Drones at Ships transversing the Strait of Hormuz. One of the Drones solidly hit the upper deck of a large and very expensive Cargo Carrying Ship. Damage was done, but the Ship was able to proceed on its way. We knocked down three other Drones. Yesterday, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Air Operations Unit assisted the Folsom Police Department with an illegal encampment cleanup in a remote area that was inaccessible by vehicle. Due to the steep terrain and limited access, our Huey helicopter was used to lift debris from the area using a cargo net suspended beneath a long line. 15 trips were needed, filling several 40 yard dumpsters.

As a regional asset, this mission not only supported our law enforcement partners, but also provided valuable real-world operational experience for our flight crews. Huey pilots must maintain proficiency in both the aircraft and long-line operations. Missions like this allow our crews to sharpen those critical skills while accomplishing meaningful work.
