BREAKING: Trump administration says federal authorities have arrested more than 10,000 suspected gang members.

The Trump administration announced that federal authorities have arrested more than 10,000 suspected gang members since the president began his second term. These arrests, part of a broader immigration enforcement campaign, target violent crimes such as murder, assault, and drug trafficking. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin credited ICE with significant progress in removing dangerous criminals from U.S. communities, attributing some releases of gang members to former President Joe Biden. The 10,000th arrest was of Javier Hernandez Rosas, an alleged MS-13 member. The administration also reported a record 21,471 CBP agents and an 87% decline in illegal immigration compared to October 2024 levels.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, LOS ANGELES WAS THE SCENE OF A VIOLENT PRE-DAWN PURSUIT.

Shortly after 4:00 a.m., LAPD officers became involved in what quickly escalated into a dangerous and violent chase, after a suspect allegedly weaponized a stolen U-Haul truck near the 1800 block of Arapahoe Street in the Pico-Union area.

During the chase, the suspect reportedly brake-checked pursuing patrol units, rammed at least one police vehicle, injured two LAPD officers, and left an LAPD patrol car burning.

Despite officers briefly losing the suspect during the chaos, the stolen U-Haul was later located abandoned in Downtown Los Angeles.

One suspect is now in custody. A second suspect remains at large. No word on the condition of the injured officers at this time.

A new bill backed by gun-rights advocates aims to stop lawsuits that seek to hold firearm manufacturers and retailers responsible for the criminal misuse of lawful products.

Supporters of the SHOT Act say these lawsuits are an attempt to push gun control through the courts instead of through elected lawmakers.

The fight over Second Amendment rights is moving from legislatures into courtrooms.

Supporters say suppressors protect hearing, reduce recoil, and help make lawful shooting sports safer for responsible gun owners.

Now Congress is weighing competing approaches: more restrictions, or less federal red tape.
