Sunday Eureka Iron Fire morning update:
Good news, no homes were lost in the fire last night.
Eureka remains under evacuation.
A successful backburn operation helped protect the town overnight, and no primary structures were lost.
Fire: 21,935 acres, 0% contained.
A federal team will assume command at 6 PM.
Hundreds of local, state and federal crews worked the fire overnight and will continue throughout the day.

The smoke from the fire of the cold storage unit in Boyle Heights has spread throughout Los Angeles County.
The smoke from the nearby Boyle Heights warehouse fire has enshrouded Dodger Stadium in an acrid, nasty haze. Not sure I’d want to sit here and watch as a fan, much less play the game, unless conditions improve.
