Praying for the Los Angeles Sheriff's deputy who was stabbed in the line of duty this afternoon.🙏🏻

At approximately 2:08 p.m., deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Sierra Highway and Lancaster Boulevard following reports of a shirtless Hispanic male wearing black pants and allegedly brandishing two knives.

According to preliminary information, a deputy responding to the incident was stabbed, prompting a deputy-involved shooting.

The suspect was subsequently taken into custody. The injured deputy was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, where their condition remains unknown.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the circumstances leading up to the confrontation remain under investigation.

NEW: An LAPD motorcycle officer was injured following a hit-and-run collision captured on video. It happened on Oxnard St and Ethel Ave. The footage shows the officer sitting on the floor with his helmet during the incident, after which the driver immediately fled the scene which you see it on video him speeding off. Minutes later, responding officers located the suspect nearby. The video shows police detaining the individual at gunpoint before taking the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect appears to be an older male, according to the footage.

NEW: The Calvert Texas Police Department is asking for the public’s help after multiple patrol vehicles were vandalized overnight.

Investigators are looking for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or has surveillance or doorbell camera footage that could help identify those responsible.

NEW: A twice-deported illegal alien with a long criminal history has been charged with flying a drone in restricted airspace in Atlanta during a FIFA Fan Festival

A twice-deported illegal alien, Lorenzo Rojas-Martinez, was charged with flying a drone in restricted FIFA airspace in Atlanta during a 2026 FIFA Fan Festival. Rojas-Martinez, 37, has a history of drug trafficking and other crimes. He was taken into custody after being approached by FBI agents who confirmed his unauthorized presence in the U.S. The FAA has restricted drone flights near stadiums hosting World Cup events to ensure public safety, with violations carrying fines and criminal penalties.

Many additional people have been arrested having to do with the disgraceful Vandalism of our beautiful Reflecting Pool. It hasn’t looked or worked like this since 1922, when it was originally built, but even then, it leaked badly, and didn’t work. Ours worked perfectly, including the mirror like finish, perfectly reflecting the two Great Monuments, which it never had before! What these terrible Vandals have done is a true affront to both Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and should be dealt with accordingly. We met with contractors today, will probably be forced to release and drain much of the water in order to do the necessary repairs, but will have them done as quickly as possible. What they have damaged does not even include the earlier killing of a large amount of grass which was, by far, the least of it. They took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash into the beautiful facade of what took so much work, competence, and money to build and complete. They also poured corrosive and destructive chemicals into the Pool. The Reflecting Pool was never so beautiful as it was just one week ago, even going back to 1922 when it opened. We are very proud of what we have done with this magnificent structure, and we will get it repaired, quickly, to an equal level of Beauty. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
