Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald on today's fraud crackdown announcement in Boston:
βIn response to identifying serious fraud in Massachusetts, HSI has significantly increased our resources dedicated to rooting out these pernicious fraudsters. With a commitment of resources, HSI is making real progress, dismantling identity document dealers, finding government benefit fraudsters, and arresting those who are stealing from government taxpayer-funded programs.β
"Illegal immigration carries real and substantial costs to American taxpayers and places enormous strain on our public benefits systems. And the further we look, the more fraud we find. Under the leadership of POTUS, VP, Acting Attorney General DAGToddBlanche, and the WH FraudTF, TheJusticeDept and our fraud-fighting partners are aggressively pursuing fraud no matter how small, no matter how big, and no matter how hard. We will follow the facts and the law to bring criminal actors to justice, regardless of the perpetratorβs citizenship, immigration status, position or title."

π¨ HELP US IDENTIFY THIS CHILD π¨
Gastonia Police officers are trying to identify and locate the family of this young boy.
He is a Black male, believed to be approximately 3-4 years old, non-verbal, and may have special needs. The child was found on Belfast Drive after he was nearly struck by a vehicle. A concerned citizen called police, and officers immediately began searching the surrounding area for his family.
Patrol officers checked a four-block area and spoke with nearby residents, but no parent or guardian could be located. While efforts continued, the little guy spent the afternoon at the Gastonia Police Department, where officers watched cartoons with him and made sure he had plenty of snacks (he appears to be a big fan of cheese crackers!).
Because no family could be immediately identified, the Department of Social Services responded and has assumed custody of the child.
If you live in the Belfast Drive area and recognize this child from his clothing, or if you know of a family missing an adorable, energetic little boy matching this description, please contact Gastonia Police immediately at 704-866-6702.

On June 4th, Governor Polis signed into law HB 26-1276, which while serving largely as a vehicle to shield personal identifying information (PII) of illegal immigrants within Colorado, also reversed a de facto prohibition on private attorneys from sharing information obtained through the stateβs court e-filing system with federal immigration authorities.
