Officials say the broader investigation has now led to charges against 56 individuals.

A millionaire tech CEO was killed during the fiery crash-landing of a private plane on a Texas highway Tuesday night.
Joshua Baer, the head of tech startup Capital Factory, was one of six passengers onboard the NetJets-operated Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft that burst into flames when it hit a Laredo highway upside down shortly after 10 p.m.

Two vehicles used for stunt driving and felony evasion met their final destination today: the shredder.

Thanks to LVMPD's Hybrid RAID/VIPER Squad, a 2009 Infiniti G37S and a 2007 Nissan 350Z were seized through the legal process after being used in dangerous criminal activity that put lives at risk. The drivers were arrested on charges including felony evading, reckless/trick driving, and endangering others. One suspect even altered the vehicle's appearance in an attempt to avoid accountability.

Since February 2026, the Hybrid RAID/VIPER Squad has arrested 24 suspects, linked investigations to 36 felony evading incidents, and made 47 arrests for reckless and trick driving. Race on our streets. Endanger our community. Run from the police.

The Baton Rouge Police Department, Louisiana, sadly announced the death of Corporal Walter Brooks.

Corporal Brooks passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, after being transported from his home to a local hospital with health complications.

Corporal Brooks proudly served the citizens of Baton Rouge as an Officer since 2011. He was currently assigned to Uniform Patrol, 1st District Evening Shift.

Please, praying for the Anchorage Alaska Police officers who were injured in the line of duty last night.🙏🏻

Two officers were shot and another injured during the incident, APD Chief Sean Case reported Wednesday.

 An alleged shoplifter was shot and killed, and three officers were injured in an officer-involved shooting at the Walmart on Old Seward Highway on Tuesday.
The Anchorage Police Department was called around 10:03 p.m. by Walmart staff, Police Chief Sean Case said in a press conference Wednesday morning. The Walmart staff intercepted someone committing retail theft and had them in custody. The first officer arrived at 10:17 p.m.
“Almost immediately when the officer made contact with the suspect, he attempted to flee the room,” Case said. “The three officers and the suspect went down to the ground.”
During the struggle, the suspect opened fire on the officers, hitting one officer twice in the lower body and one officer in the chest, which was intercepted by a ballistic plate in the officer’s vest, Case said. The officer struck in the chest returned fire, killing the suspect.
The officer who was hit in the lower body was taken to a local hospital. Case reports that the officer is currently in stable condition. The two other officers, who both sustained injuries, were also taken to the hospital and later cleared.

Today, Texas DPS Trooper Sergio Romero was killed in the line of duty near Childress in a vehicle accident.

A rock hauling truck that was hauling rock to the new data center in Kirkland in Childress County pulled out in front of the state trooper this evening. It resulted in the casualty of the trooper.

Trooper Romero leaves behind his wife and two young children.

After leaving the home of his friend and attorney Robert Kardashian, O.J. Simpson fled in the now-infamous white Ford Bronco driven by his close friend and former teammate, Al Cowlings.

At 5:56 PM on June 17, 1994, CHP officers initiated a Pursuit on the white ford bronco in Lake Forest, OrangeCounty, near the I-5 Freeway and El Toro Y interchange, after authorities tracked the vehicle using cellphone calls from O.J.

If you were around in 1994, chances are you remember exactly where you were when the Bronco was on the move.
