Very tough to see these images from near Fort Robinson in northwest Nebraska, but efforts to fight the South Fork Fire continue.
Fire Danger is expected to increase again early this week. Please continue to stay clear of the area and allow responders to work.

Four years ago today, El Monte Police Officer Joseph Santana and Corporal Michael Paredes answered a call and never made it home.
They ran toward danger to protect others, making the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community on June 14, 2022.
Today, we remember two heroes whose watch ended far too soon, but whose legacy lives on in every officer who continues to serve with courage and honor.
A badge is more than metal. Itβs a promise to stand between good and evil, no matter the cost. Santana and Paredes kept that promise until their final breath.
Gone, but never forgotten. End of Watch: June 14, 2022.
