It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved K-9 Hoss.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Hoss passed away on June 8, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Hoss joined the Round Rock Police Department in October 2017 and spent more than eight years serving our community. Throughout his career, Hoss completed more than 730 deployments and assisted in over 260 arrests. He helped remove illegal narcotics from our streets, recovered firearms, located critical evidence, and assisted in countless investigations. In 2024, Hoss was named the Dogs for Law Enforcement Texas Seminar Narcotics Detection Champion.
But those who knew Hoss know that his legacy is much more than the work he accomplished.
Beyond his official duties, Hoss was known for his charismatic personality, boundless energy, and love of people. Whether he was working alongside officers, visiting department personnel, or interacting with members of our community, Hoss left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Since becoming partners in 2021, Officer Don Garmong and Hoss shared a bond that extended far beyond the job.
βHe was loyal, loving, and unforgettable. More than my partner, Hoss was my best friend in every meaning of the word.β
β Officer Don Garmong
Today, we mourn not only the loss of an exceptional K-9, but the loss of a friend. Though his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the lasting impact he made on this department, our community, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thank you for everything, Hoss.
You will be deeply missed, and you will never be forgotten.

NEW: Mahender Makhijani, 44, a lawful permanent resident from India living in Corona del Mar, was arrested this morning on a federal criminal complaint charging him with defrauding a bank out of nearly $100 million.
Makhijani controlled Cantor Group V LLC, a Newport Beach-based company that had a lending agreement requiring it to pledge only first-lien real estate loans to the victim bank.
Makhijani falsified title policies from September 2024 to April 2025 to make it appear Cantor held first-lien positions when other creditors were ahead. Makhijani and a subordinate forged documents in Adobe, altered metadata, and submitted the falsified records to the victim bank, while also providing misleading explanations during calls and in spreadsheets.
If convicted, Makhijani faces a statutory maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison. He is expected to make his initial appearance this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, California. All defendants are presumed innocent until convicted in court.
Our nationβs economy and welfare depend on a healthy banking system. When lenders are deceived, it has downstream effects on consumers and businesses.

CALIFORNIA VOTE IS RIGGED π¨ Voters were rejecting a new sales tax increase in Los Angeles County but because of a βsurge with late mail in ballotsβ the sales tax increase PASSED
The same late mail in ballots that pushed Nithya Raman ahead of Spencer Pratt also pushed through Democratβs sales tax increase
βI'm going to talk about one of the strangest results in the LA County β sales tax increase that will take the sales tax in Los Angeles County from a very high 9.75% to the almost unthinkable 10.25%, one of the highest in the country. Why did this happen? β Initially, it looked like Measure ER, the tax increase, was going to fail, but with late ballots coming in, especially for Nithya Raman, the tax increase passed.β
I found this new sales tax increase is expected to take a BILLION dollars per year from residents.
Again, they were rejecting it. But Democrats forged it through with mail in ballots

WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump delivers remarks as he signs into law funding for the administration's border security agenda through the remainder of his White House term.
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1E9xNxZa7a/
POTUS: "This morning, I'm thrilled to sign the Secure America Act to immediately and fully fund the Department of Homeland Security through the end of my term." πΊπΈ
POTUS: "For more than 100 days, Congressional Dumocrats tried to block all funding for DHS in a reprehensible attempt to throw open the borders of the United States of America. They want to drag us straight back to chaos and crime...and we're not going to let them do that."
POTUS: "The Secure America Act provides $38B to ICE, $26B to Border Patrol to ensure these critical law enforcement agencies have the necessary resources to do their jobs protecting our borders and getting criminal aliens out of the country."
POTUS: "The bill provides crucial funding for domestic law enforcement investigations and combatting child exploitation, continuing our work to restore law and order across our nation and to protect America's youth."
POTUS on signing the Secure America Act to fund DHS: "Very simply, the Radical Left Dumocrats... voted with the cartels, the terrorists, the gang members, the drug dealers... and our great Republican majorities voted to protect law-abiding American citizens."
POTUS on Iran: "We hit them hard yesterday and we're going to hit them again hard today... And we'll see what happens with the deal. We were really close to a deal β but they keep tapping us along. They keep playing us for suckers because you know what? They dealt with some very stupid Presidents."
POTUS on pulte: "Smart people are smart people... he's going to be there for a short while while we pick somebody else. We're interviewing 5 different peopleβthey're all very good...people want [ODNI] downsized."
POTUS on Congressional Dumocrats: "We can't let them extort us."
POTUS on Iran: "Did you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know about it? Iran β until right now. We took out, the other night, 22 ships."
POTUS signs the Secure America Act into law, fully funding DHS through the end of his term, and giving ICE and Border Patrol the necessary resources to continue deporting illegal aliens and keeping Americans safe.
