NEW: Karmelo Anthony, 19, has been found guilty for the death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

The teens were attending a regional track meet in Frisco, Texas, when Metcalf reportedly told Anthony to leave their team's tent. That’s when Anthony reportedly stabbed and killed Metcalf.

Bond was revoked and he was taken into custody.

Now, the sentencing phase  begins where the same jury decides his sentencing. They will call character witnesses.

Karmelo Anthony’s mom took the stand. She said,  “He’s my oldest, my first born, my baby, I love him very much.”

His mom he mascara down her face while she cried and asked the  jury “please have mercy on my son.”

NEW: Deputy Breaks Arm in Backyard Chase; Ukiah Man Arrested

On June 5, 2026, at about 8:27 p.m., Mendocino County CA Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 3900 block of North State Street in Ukiah for a report of a male subject causing a disturbance.

During the foot pursuit, the deputy lost their footing in debris within the yard and fell, sustaining a fracture to their right humerus. The deputy was transported to a local hospital for immediate medical evaluation and treatment. The injury was determined to be a serious bodily injury.

Please, praying for the Carbon County sheriff’s deputy who was shot in the line of duty last night.🙏🏽

A Carbon County sheriff’s deputy was shot several times after responding to reports of an armed man near the Colorado-Wyoming border, triggering a pursuit and massive multi-agency response.

"On Monday, June 8th, dispatchers with the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man with a gun in Baggs, located in southwestern Carbon County.

The subject opened fire on the initial responding deputy, striking him several times.

The suspect fled the scene in a small truck.  Additional responding deputies and troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol engaged in a pursuit with the suspect vehicle on Highway 789 north of Baggs. The suspect opened fire on law enforcement again before driving off the highway and coming to a stop. The suspect was declared deceased at the scene.

The wounded deputy was transported to a medical facility in Colorado by Intermountain Air Ambulance.

Additional units from agencies across the state responded to assist.

The investigation is being ongoing and being conducted by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Please keep our injured deputy and their family in your thoughts and prayers.

District 6 is working with Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) to feature dogs who need a loving home to adopt them. This week we are featuring Teddy. Teddy is a i year old, spayed female terrier, who has been at the shelter since 04/28/26.

Teddy is full of energy, friendly, and loves to play. Teddy was so much fun to have around the district station and even helped out with some of the office work. If you would like to meet Teddy, MADACC's adoption hours are 11am-6pm M/F and 11am to 4pm on Sat/Sun.

What was the end result of Democrats’ DHS shutdown?

Zero ICE reforms, and ICE and CBP are now funded with an additional $70 billion through the rest of Trump’s presidency.

After negotiations fell apart in the Senate, Republicans simply went around Dems and funded Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda on their own, & Dems were powerless to stop it.

And this is *on top* of the money ICE & CBP already got in the One Big Beautiful Bill last year.

ICE & CBP now have more money coming to their coffers than they ever would have if there had been no DHS shutdown.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali who was killed in the line of duty this afternoon.🙏🏽

Ontario Provincial Police have announced Const. Tarun Bali (29) of the James Bay detachment has been killed in the line of duty.

James Bay OPP were conducting an investigation at Kendall Concession Road 7 and Concession Road 6 near Hearst. Bali was seriously injured and has since been pronounced deceased.

A press release says OPP have one individual in custody but have yet to announce charges.
