The 15th District is preparing to march on Michigan Avenue during the annual St. Jude Police Memorial March this morning in honor of all 608 officers who have died in the line of duty. Alongside our Gold Star Families, we continue to uphold the legacies of our fallen heroes. Commander Carlin P Morse addressed the district as it will be his last St Jude March as he officially retires. We extend our gratitude to Commander Morse for his service as 15th District Commander and wish him a well-deserved retirement.

NEW: A Philadelphia officer directing traffic after the Phillies game was hit by a car Wednesday night, police said.

It happened at around 9:20 p.m. at Broad Street and Packer Avenue, according to police.

Police said the officer was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury. 

The driver in the striking vehicle stayed on the scene, police said

NEW: Authorities were chasing a driver, wanted for a vehicle code violation, in the Orange County area Wednesday evening. ⁠

The chase came to an end when the driver abandoned the vehicle in the Bellflower area and ran away, but was later taken into custody.

A Broken Arrow Oklahoma police officer is being called a hero after his quick response saved a young boy from drowning in a pond at Events Park.

Officer Zach Vick had just grabbed his morning coffee on May 27th, when he heard over dispatch about a possible drowning at Events Park. He didn't originally get dispatched, but happened to be about 2 miles away when the call came in.

ICYMI: A railcar carrying lithium batteries caught fire in the Cajon Pass overnight, prompting a response from San Bernardino County firefighters and hazardous materials crews. Railway officials say that the blaze started while it was being burglarized.

At around 3:45 a.m., San Bernardino County Fire Department officials posted on social media , saying that the single BNSF railcar “loaded with lithium batteries” was well involved with fire on the tracks near Swarthout Canyon in an area that was difficult to access for crews.

A Kansas state trooper had just seconds to react before an allegedly impaired driver slammed into his patrol car during a roadside traffic stop.

Dashcam footage shows the trooper sprinting for cover as the vehicle barrels toward the shoulder and crashes into the cruiser.

Authorities say the driver failed to move over, was found to be impaired, and was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia.

"Thankfully, no one was injured and the driver was taken off the road," Kansas Highway Patrol said in a statement.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Teen killed, 11-year-old among 3 injured in shooting after Bay Area CA high school graduation.

One person was killed and three others were injured in a shooting after a graduation ceremony at Fairfield High School on Wednesday, according to police. The ceremony was for Sem Yeto High School, a continuation school which shares a campus with Fairfield High.

NEW: Distracted driving is believed to be the cause of an accident that resulted in a Terre Haute Indiana Police Officer being injured.

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, the officer was injured after a distracted driver turned in front of the officer, who was in his patrol vehicle. At the time of the crash, the THPD officer was on routine patrol.

THPD reports that at “approximately 11:00 p.m. on June 3, 2026, a Terre Haute Police Department officer was traveling northbound on 13th Street through the intersection at Wabash Avenue when a vehicle turned in front of the patrol vehicle, failing to yield the right-of-way and causing a collision.”

This week, Air Interdiction Agents located a vessel carrying 240 migrants from Haiti attempting an illegal maritime migration. The overcrowded vessel was taking on water and in danger of sinking.
 
Our personnel helped prevent what could have been a catastrophic loss of life while stopping yet another illegal migration attempt.
 
The message remains clear: illegal maritime migration is dangerous, it is not worth the risk, and you will not gain entry into the US.
