βWhat fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Please, praying for the San Francisco Police officer who was shot in the line of duty overnight.ππ»
BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Police were pursuing a gray Toyota wanted in connection with a strong-arm robbery near SoMa when the chase ended on Bayshore Blvd.
Officers located the car, which had two people inside, traveling on 5th Street near Folsom Street, according to a statement by Officer Eve Laokwansathitaya.
When officers tried to conduct a traffic stop near Mission and First streets, the driver fled, initiating a police pursuit. The chase continued along city streets until the suspect's vehicle became disabled in the area of Bayshore Boulevard and Jerrold Avenue, police said in a statement.
Police said the driver opened fire on officers, striking one officer several times, prompting police to shoot back.
The driver ran away on foot, but the passenger sustained injuries from the gunfire, police said.
Responding officers quickly took the injured officer and the injured passenger to a local hospital, where both were being treated for life-threatening injuries. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurrie was spotted there, visiting the officer.
In a statement, Louis Wong, president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association, said the officer was set to undergo surgery and is expected to recover.

Sandy, Oregon police officer shot multiple times and multiple people dead after domestic disturbance.
BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Authorities say multiple people were killed and a Sandy police officer was seriously injured after being shot, following a domestic violence-related shooting in Sandy, Oregon, on Sunday evening.
Officers with the Sandy Police Department and Clackamas County Sheriffβs Office responded just before 4 p.m. to reports of a domestic disturbance and gunfire near Ross Avenue and Evans Street.
Residents in the area were urged to shelter in place as law enforcement searched for the suspect. Authorities later located the suspect inside a nearby home and took them into custody shortly before 8 p.m.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine exactly what happened.

NEW: Remains found in New Mexico national forest IDβd as those of Melissa Casias, who vanished last year.
The discovery in the McGaffey Ridge area of Carson National Forest was reported Thursday, and the New Mexico Medical Investigatorβs Office identified the remains as those of Melissa Casias, authorities said.
βInvestigators also learned that a handgun was located alongside the remains,β New Mexico State Police said in a statement Saturday.
The Medical Investigatorβs Office is likely to determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
A representative for Casiasβ family said it would have no comment until after an upcoming meeting with investigators.
Representatives for Los Alamos National Laboratory didnβt immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday.
The area of the discovery, about 6 miles from Casiasβ home, can be reached by a state highway, which she was seen walking along the day she was reported missing.
Casias, 53, was reported missing on June 26, when her supervisor phoned her husband looking for her because she hadnβt reported for work, her husband, Mark Casias, said in an interview last year.
