Itβs not about finding which Republican will lose in the general election like weβve always done.
Itβs about finding someone that can win. Iβm a Republican who wins in a Democrat county by a large majority because I get things done.
Thatβs how we win in November, by sending someone with a proven track record of actually working for California.

UPDATE: 5 Cleveland officers injured after suspect opens fire during East Side shooting investigation; officer fires back during chase. A Cleveland shooting incident escalated into a dramatic chase, leaving five officers injured, as a suspect opened fire and an officer.
While officers investigated and canvassed the scene, police said they noticed a vehicle repeatedly circling the area. Investigators later identified the driver as the suspected shooter.
According to police, the suspect then fired several rounds at officers before fleeing the scene. One officer suffered injuries from shrapnel after bullets struck their police cruiser.
Officers later located the suspect vehicle near Track and Martin avenues using the departmentβs Real Time Crime Center. Police said the suspect fled again, leading officers on a pursuit through Cleveland's east side.
During the chase, the suspect allegedly fired additional rounds at officers, striking the windshield of another police cruiser. A second officer suffered injuries believed to be consistent with either a bullet graze wound or shrapnel, police said.
One officer returned fire during the pursuit, according to police. Authorities said the suspect was not struck.
The chase ended near the 1500 block of Chagrin Boulevard when the suspect crashed into a building. During the incident, one police vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident and struck a tree.
During the response, another police vehicle was involved in a separate crash near E. 75th St. and Kinsman Road. Two officers in that cruiser were taken to the hospital. Police said the other driver involved initially declined transport by EMS but later sought medical treatment.
In total, five officers suffered injuries connected to the incident, according to police.

One of the worst deals ever made by our Country was the Iran Nuclear Deal, put forth and signed into existence by Barack Hussein Obama and the rank amateurs of the Obama Administration. It was a direct path to Iran developing a Nuclear Weapon. Not so with the transaction currently being negotiated with Iran by the Trump Administration - THE EXACT OPPOSITE, in fact! The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. I would like to thank, thus far, all of the countries of the Middle East for their support and cooperation, which will be further enhanced and strengthened by their joining the Nations of the historic Abraham Accords and, who knows, perhaps the Islamic Republic of Iran would like to join, as well! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Warning graphic!
The Los Angeles Police Departmentβs Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that involved Central Division officers.
On April 08, 2026, around 9:40 a.m., Central Patrol Division Police Officers were patrolling in the area of Central Avenue and Towne Avenue when they observed a newer model BMW wanted for a felony crime. The officers followed the vehicle onto the 5 Freeway while requesting additional units. When the BMW began to accelerate away in an apparent attempt to evade, the officers initiated a vehicle pursuit.
Approximately one minute later, the BMW turned onto the Olympic Boulevard exit. While on the off-ramp, the driver abruptly conducted a U-turn and accelerated against traffic, colliding head-on with an oncoming police vehicle. After the BMW came to a stop, the driver, later identified as 30-year-old Jesus Ernesto Jaime, exited from the driverβs seat and stood behind his vehicle. Responding officers issued verbal commands for Jaime to surrender. Jaime refused to comply and instead removed a semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and pointed it at an officer, resulting in an OIS. Jaime was struck by gunfire and fell to the ground.
Jaime was taken into custody without further incident and moved to awaiting Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, who declared him deceased at scene. Representatives from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner responded to the scene and positively identified Jaime. Notifications to Jaimeβs next of kin were completed.
An additional passenger inside the BMW complied with officersβ commands to surrender and was taken into custody without incident.
Two officers were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated and released for injuries sustained from the traffic collision.
A 9mm semi-automatic Glock handgun, loaded with 17 live rounds, was recovered from the scene. Additionally, a loaded .357 Magnum Astra revolver was recovered from inside the BMW. Both weapons were booked as evidence.
No other community members were injured during this incident.
