On Tuesday, members of the Santa Monica Police Department and Santa Monica Fire Department gathered to honor the lives and service of Santa Monica’s fallen.
This annual memorial is a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and commitment carried by those who served before us. Their names, their service, and their legacy remain part of who we are as public safety professionals and as a city.
To the families of our fallen: your loved ones are not forgotten. We are honored to stand with you, remember with you, and carry their legacy forward.

NEW: LASD Major Crimes Bureau Detectives Seize $5 Million to $10 Million in Counterfeit Luxury Goods; 2 Suspects Arrested.
The search warrant was safely executed early this morning at a commercial warehouse in downtown Los Angeles. One location was at a retail store on the 500 Block of South Los Angeles Street, and the second was a warehouse in the 500 Block of Main Street, in the city of Los Angeles.
A male and a female Asian adult were taken into custody. This remains an active investigation.
Additional arrests or charges are possible as the case progresses.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau’s Tip Line at (562) 946-7893.
