At the annual Stanislaus County Peace Officer Memorial, we paused to remember their sacrifice, reflect on their courage, and stand beside the families and loved ones who carry their legacy forward each day.

PHILADELPHIA POLICE OFFICER RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER SHOOTING
A Philadelphia Highway Patrol officer who was shot during a traffic stop in North Philadelphia has been released from the hospital.
Fellow officers stood outside Temple University Hospital on Wednesday, saluting as the injured officer was wheeled out of the facility.
Investigators say the officer was shot in the leg Monday night while conducting a safety frisk during a traffic stop.
Police say the suspect’s firearm discharged during the encounter.
Authorities arrested 26-year-old Rashid Walker at the scene on firearms charges.
