NEW: Texas DPS and U.S. Border Patrol apprehended six individuals, including a “special interest alien” from China, during a border operation in Roma, South Texas. Those arrested were identified as being in the U.S. illegally and were wearing wristbands used by cartels to track smuggling operations. All were transferred to federal custody as part of Operation Lone Star.

NEW: ICE San Diego arrested Rene Wilson a criminal illegal alien from Cuba. Wilson has criminal convictions for failure to register as a sex offender, indecent exposure, drug trafficking, and peeping tom. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal.

Please, praying for the New Bedford police officer who was seriously injured in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

A New Bedford MA police officer assisting with a funeral procession was struck while on a motorcycle Thursday morning and suffered serious injuries, according to the police union.

The New Bedford Police Union posted on its Facebook page that the officer “suffered serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at St. Luke’s Hospital.”

NEW: A traffic stop led to the seizure of 396 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in a trailer’s false compartment. This was part of an investigation by HPD’s Narcotics Division, Squad 5, partnered with the DEA Galveston Office, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Houston), and the Harris County Sheriff's Office. An armed suspect was arrested. An additional 73 kilograms of methamphetamine and cash were recovered from the suspect’s residence.
