NEW: A police officer suffered moderate injuries from a Tuesday morning collision in north Lubbock, Texas.

Police officials said the unidentified officer was traveling about 9:30 a.m. through the intersection of Interstate 27 and Erskine when he was struck by another motorist.

The officer was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

The other driver did not report any injuries at the time, officials said.

WATCH: An up close look at the tunnel that burned for nearly 20 hours beneath the 110 Freeway in Wilmington, CA.

Los Angeles firefighters have flooded it with water and foam. It’s unclear if anyone was inside, but the tunnel had been used as a homeless encampment.

BREAKING: 3 people shot and 2 people stabbed near LongHorn Steakhouse on the 13600 block of Baltimore Ave in Laurel, Maryland, Allison Papson reports.

Police say 2 men and 1 woman were shot; 2 victims are in critical condition and 1 person has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 1 stabbing victim is in critical condition and 1 stabbing victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Our hearts are heavy once again. A Massachusetts State Police Trooper was killed in the line of duty early this morning while attempting to intercept a wrong-way driver on Rte. 1 in Lynnfield.

The crash occurred about 2:00AM when the driver traveling south in the northbound lanes struck the Massachusetts State Police cruiser.

State police did not identify the trooper as they notified the next of kin.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by the tragic incident.🙏🏻
