NEW: A suspected drunk driver crashed straight into a Shell gas station in Vallejo late last night, causing major damage and a chaotic scene. Witnesses say the driver lost control before plowing into the station structure.

Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported so far, but this could’ve ended much worse.

β€œThe insurance companies left because the insurance companies can’t be forced into bankruptcy by the state. They told the state. It wasn’t global warming. Stop believing that. It was a failed environmental policy that doesn’t allow fire departments to prevent defensible space around our homes. Or clear out the brush….we are going to DEREGULATE.”

Are you listening democrats…. You literally destroyed the Pacific Palisades with your insane policies.

How anyone could ever vote Democrat again after just that is beyond me!!!!

This was a great answer by Chad Bianco

Please, praying for the Stevens County Sheriff’s deputy who was shot in the line of duty earlier today.πŸ™πŸ»

WA: Stevens County Deputy Injured In Shooting

On 04/28/26 at 02:35 Stevens County 911 Center received a call from an individual stating they observed on camera that someone was breaking into their garage at their residence in Suncrest.  The caller was not home at the time and stated no one else had permission to be at the home. Three Stevens County Deputies responded to the scene and arrived at approximately 02:55.

After arriving the deputies determined that the house was locked.  They received permission to enter to check the residence.  Immediately upon entry, deputies were fired upon.  One deputy was struck twice in the upper chest/shoulder area.  The injured deputy returned fire and then was extracted from the scene.

A perimeter was set and Stevens County Special Response Team and Spokane County SWAT were called to the scene. A neighborhood alert (Hyper Reach) was sent out to notify of the law enforcement activity.  The deputy was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

At approximately 07:35 crises negotiators were able to make contact with the suspect and confirmed he was inside the residence, but the suspect immediately ceased communication.  A short time later a drone was deployed into the residence and determined the suspect appeared deceased in a bedroom.  Entry was made and it was confirmed that the suspect was injured, possibly with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Life saving measures were attempted by personnel on scene but were unsuccessful.

WSP’s Independent Investigative Team will be taking over lead in the investigation per Washington State law regarding officer involved shootings. The investigation is ongoing.  No further media releases or information will be released by the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office.

The injured deputy underwent surgery, is in stable condition, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our deep appreciation for our partners at Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Stevens County Fire District 1, Deer Park Ambulance, Spokane County Fire District 9, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington State Patrol, Spokane Police Department, as well as Providence for their excellent medical care.

WILD, WILD WEST HOLLYWOOD!!!
This happened this evening, a little before 6pm. A mama duck and her ducklings were spotted on Santa Monica Blvd near Doheny Blvd. Some good samaritans stopped traffic and escorted the ducks to the park down the street in Beverly Hillsβ€”and there goes our sleep thinking about their wellbeing πŸ₯Ί.

Today marks two years since the tragic events of April 29, 2024β€”a day that forever changed our department and the Charlotte community.

As we pause to reflect, we remember the unwavering bravery of every officer who responded that day, our public safety partners who stood by us and the community that came together to support CMPD and our law enforcement partners like never before.

But most importantly, today and every day, we honor the fallen heroes: CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer, Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas Weeks and N.C. Department of Adult Correction Investigators William Elliott and Samuel Poloche. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
