California: The Grover Beach Police department said a motorcycle officer was taken to a local hospital after a crash Monday.

GBPD said the officer was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

According to GBPD, the crash is under investigation and all other involved parties remained on scene and cooperated. Police do not believe drugs and alcohol were involved.

In a press release, GBPD said "The Grover Beach Police Department would like to thank the community members who stopped to render aid and offer assistance to our officer."

A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy and four people in another car were hospitalized on Sunday, April 5, after they collided during a pursuit of a motorcycle in Fontana, authorities said.

The injuries were reported as minor. The deputy has been released from the hospital, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenny Smith said Monday.
The chase began around 4:39 p.m. near Foothill Boulevard and Cherry Avenue, Smith said. The deputy attempted a traffic stop for a suspected vehicle code violation, but the motorcyclist failed to stop, she said.

The pursuit was short. San Bernardino County fire paramedics were called to Foothill and Banana Avenue at 4:40 p.m., department spokesman and firefighter Chris Prater said.

Four people in the car were taken to Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, while the deputy was hospitalized at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, said Fontana police Officer Daniel Romero, a department spokesman.
