POTUS holds a press conference on the historic rescue of two American airmen from Iran:

"I ordered the U.S. armed forces to do whatever was necessary to bring our brave warriors back home... In the United States military, we leave no American behind."

POTUS: "The second rescue mission involved 155 aircraft... We were bringing them all over, and a lot of it was subterfuge. We wanted to have them think he was in a different location because they had a vast military force out there. Thousands of people were looking."

President Trump says somebody leaked to a media outlet that the first F-15E pilot had been rescued but that the US military was looking for a second crew member. He says Iran didn't know that at the time, and his admin will go to the media outlet who reported it try to force them to disclose their source in the interest of national security or "go to jail".

"Over the past 37 days, America's armed forces have carried out more than 10,000 combat flights over Iran, striking more than 13,000 targets," says POTUS on Operation Epic Fury.

"It's a record that is unparalleled in the history of military air operations."

POTUS: "As Commander-in-Chief, I never forget the extraordinary risk taken by the warriors that we send into battle — and the genius."

CIADirector: "CIA executed a deception campaign to confuse the Iranians, who were desperately hunting for our airmen. On Saturday morning, we achieved our primary objective by finding and providing confirmation that one of America’s best and bravest was alive... Following the successful exfiltration on Saturday night, our intelligence reflects that the Iranians were embarrassed, and ultimately humiliated by the success of this audacious rescue mission."

Chairman Gen. Dan Caine: "The force fought through multiple simultaneous contingencies, something no other nation, no other military can do, and safely returned... the backseater home."

POTUS explains to a reporter that the Iranian people yearn for freedom: We've had numerous intercepts, 'Please keep bombing' ... and these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding... they want freedom. They have lived in a world that you know nothing about.

POTUS: We are dealing with them. Essentially, they have until 8 o'clock tomorrow night, Eastern Time. But we are dealing with them... I think it's going fine, but we'll have to see. You have to understand, we've been dealing with these people for 47 years.

POTUS: These are disturbed people. If you think I'm going to allow them to have a nuclear weapon, you can tell your friends at the New York Times — not gonna happen!

POTUS: This is a critical period... We're giving them until tomorrow, 8:00 pm Eastern Time — and after that, they're going to have no bridges. They're going to have no power plants. Stone ages.

POTUS: I think that 47 years of this stuff is long enough. They're at the weakest point they've ever been... all I want to see is I want to have a safe world."
