WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump addresses the nation on Operation Epic Fury.
POTUS: "Let me begin by congratulating the team at NASA, and our brave astronauts on the successful launch of Artemis II. It will be traveling further than any manned rocket has ever flown... they are on the way, and God bless them." πΊπΈ
POTUS addresses the nation: "Tonight, Iran's navy is gone, their air force is in ruins, their leaders, most of them... are now dead. Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being decimated as we speak, their ability to launch missiles and drones is dramatically curtailed, and their weapons, factories, and rocket launchers are being blown to pieces... Our enemies are losingβand America, as it has been for five years under my presidency, is winning, and now, winning bigger than ever before.
From the very first day I announced my campaign, I have vowed that I would NEVER allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. This fanatical regime has been chanting βDeath to Americaβ for 47 years β and it should have been handled long before I arrived in office."
POTUS on the steps he's taken against Iran, such as the killing of Qasem Soleimani and his termination of Barack Obama's Iran nuclear deal:
"Essentially, I did what no other president was willing to doβthey made mistakes, and I am correcting them."
POTUS: "My first preference was always the path of diplomacy. Yet, the regime continued their relentless quest for nuclear weapons, and rejected every attempt at an agreement.
For years, everyone has said that Iran cannot have nuclear weaponsβbut in the end, those are just words if you're not willing to take action when the time comes."
"Tonight, I am pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion... We think especially of the 13 American warriors who have laid down their lives in this fight... Now, we must honor them by completing the mission for which they gave their lives."
POTUS: "In one year, we have taken a dead and crippled country and made it the hottest country anywhere in the world, with no inflation, record-setting investment into the United States, and the highest stock market ever. It all positioned us to get rid of a cancer that has long simmeredβitβs known as a nuclear Iran, and they didnβt know what was coming."
POTUS: To those countries that canβt get fuel, many of which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestionβNumber 1, buy oil from the United States. And Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just take it. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done.
POTUS: "Thanks to the progress we've made, I can say tonight that we are on-track to complete all of Americaβs military objectives shortly. We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks... In the meantime, discussions are ongoing."
POTUS: "Tonight, every American can look forward to a day when we are finally free from the wickedness of Iranian aggression and the specter of nuclear blackmail. Because of the actions we have taken, we are on the cusp of ending Iran's sinister threat to America and the world."

NEW: Off-duty Philadelphia police officer among 2 injured in small plane crash
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near Fluehr Park at Grant and Torresdale avenues in the city's Torresdale section.
According to Fly Legacy Aviation, a flight school based in Philadelphia, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power over the Delaware River before the instructor and student pilot on board were forced to attempt an emergency landing.
The instructor and student pilot were both taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
"They were both alert and oriented. We were very fortunate," said Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson. "There was no resulting fire. We do have a small fuel spill. We have our hazardous materials task force on location."
Sources identified the pilot as a off-duty Philadelphia police officer who works in the 3rd District.
"Although they succeeded in preventing any fatalities or injuries to others, they were unable to avoid striking a tree during their landing," said Fly Legacy Aviation in a statement.
Please, pray for all involvedππ»

NEW: San Joaquin County CA Sheriff Pat Withrow Gives Update on Stockton Gang Shooting
In a video address to the public, Sheriff Withrow has announced that he expects arrests to be made in a couple of months. Withrow states that his office is currently transferring electronic evidence such as camera footage and cell phone records, to written reports. Those reports will then be turned over to District Attorney Ron Freitas who will review the evidence and make a determination to charge. Once that happens, Withrow says thatβs βwhen handcuffs will start being put on.β The implication is that the suspects are already known and identified.
Withrow emphasized he expects this to occur in the next couple of months and that the investigation is going according to plan.
The gang shooting occurred at a childβs birthday party and injured 17-18 people, with four fatalities including 3 children as young as 8.

Praying for the Maryland State Police trooper who was injured in the line of duty this afternoon. ππ»
A Maryland State Police trooper was injured in a crash that prompted a hazardous materials response Wednesday afternoon in Lexington Park.
The incident was reported at approximately 12:04 p.m. on April 1, 2026, in the area of Hermanville Road and Piper Court.
Crews arrived to find a crash involving a truck with a trailer, where a 500-gallon diesel fuel tank had ruptured and was leaking into a ditch along Hermanville Road. The situation prompted an upgrade to a hazmat response as crews worked to contain the spill.
Officials said there was no entrapment. The only reported patient was the Maryland State Police trooper, who was evaluated at the scene and transported to MedStar St. Maryβs Hospital with injuries.

The reason Democrats started what is now the longest shutdown in DHS history is because they were demanding dramatic reforms to the way ICE operates.
They now get zero of those reforms after negotiations fell apart in the Senate. None.
Dems are claiming victory because Republicans are now agreeing to a DHS funding bill with zero dollars for ICE & CBP and Dems can message to their base that they held the line and didnβt fund Trumpβs mass deportation agenda.
But ICE & CBP are already pre-funded (not entirely) by the One Big Beautiful Bill, immigration enforcement operations have continued without issue, and Republicans plan to give ICE & CBP even more money in a second reconciliation bill, which will require no Democratic votes in the Senate.
So what did this DHS shutdown accomplish, other than hurt a lot of people & create chaos at airports?
