WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump signs an Executive Order in the Oval Office
"We're going to ensure that each state's election officials are provided with a comprehensive view of who the eligible voters in their jurisdiction actually are...and then, it orders the Postmaster General and the U.S. Postal Service to take bold new measures to verify that ballots are... being sent to people who are eligible to vote, and that ballots being returned are being properly returned by eligible voters only."
Howard Lutnick: The states run these elections. If they want to use the U.S. Postal Service, they're going to get a barcode from the USPS, and they're going to put that on the envelope, and we will have one envelope per vote β none of this stuff where there's no certainty.
POTUS signs an Executive Order ordering citizenship verification for federal elections and securing mail-in ballot procedures through the USPS
POTUS on concluding Operation Epic Fury: I would say that within two or three weeks... but we want to knock out every single thing they have. Now, it's possible that we'll make a deal before that.
POTUS on birthright citizenship: "It had to do with the babies of slaves... it didn't have to do with the protection of multi-millionaires and billionaires wanting to have their children get American citizenship."
POTUS nukes a rude Libbey Dean after being interrupted: "Wait a minute. Do you want me to answer the question? You're a fresh person... We've had a lot of problems with you, haven't we?"

Ohio: A teen is facing charges for a crash that killed an off-duty police officer and injured another in Jackson County, Ohio, last year.
According to the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, the crash took place on Aug. 30, 2025, in Jackson.
Around 2 a.m., a car driven by a 17-year-old male rear-ended a gold cart traveling southbound on South Pennsylvania Avenue near the intersection of Sixth Street. The golf cart was sent off the left side of the road and into a tree, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
One of the gold cart passengers was off-duty Wellston Police Officer Matthew Juniper, 25, of Wellston, who received fatal injuries. The cart driver, fellow Wellston Police Officer Brant Derrow, 40, was seriously injured.

Our attorneys TheJusticeDept just secured a crucial win for America-first policies: Kentucky can no longer give in-state tuition benefits to illegal aliens. Americans will NOT be treated like second-class citizens in their own country.
President Trump made it clear via executive order: illegal aliens should not obtain taxpayer benefits or preferential treatment. This DOJ is carrying that out via litigation across the country.

This is a POST OFFICE parking lotβ¦ not a landfill. π¦
Tents, trash, furniture, boxes⦠all piled up where people are supposed to park, walk, and access mail.
Families, elderly, and workers are forced to walk through this every single day like itβs normal. Itβs not.
At what point do we stop ignoring it and demand better for our communities?
This isnβt just about cleanlinessβ¦ itβs about safety, dignity, and accountability.

We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of one of our own, Deputy Levi Vargas, who passed away while participating in the 2026 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay.
Deputy Vargas was more to us than a dedicated deputy, he was a friend, he was a teammate, and a valued member of our family. He represented our Department with courage, commitment, and dedication to the community he served. His loss is deeply felt across our entire law enforcement family.
We offer our condolences to his wife, his parents, extended family, and partners. We mourn and pray for strength during this incredibly difficult time.
The Baker to Vegas race has long stood as a tradition of teamwork, endurance, and unity among law enforcement agencies. Deputy Vargas embodied those values.
I also want to recognize and congratulate all the teams who represented the Los Angeles County Sheriffβs Department. I am proud of your commitment, discipline, and teamwork.
We are deeply grateful to the volunteers, families, friends, and sponsors who supported our runners. Your encouragement and generosity mean more than words can ever express, and you are an important part of this extended law enforcement family.
While we grieve this tremendous loss, we are reminded of the strength and unity that define our Department. We will honor and never forget Deputy Levi Vargas and his family.
God bless him and the men and women of the Los Angeles County Sheriffβs Department.
