Please, pray for the South Houston Police officer who was shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

Texas: A South Houston Police officer was shot in the head with a shotgun after a chase last night.

The officer was shot around 1 a.m. on Amarillo Street. The Houston Police Department says they were called in to assist, setting up a perimeter and even clearing the freeway to get the injured officer to the hospital quickly. He remains in the ICU.

The suspect who shot him was shot and killed by police. Police are still working to ID the suspect.

UPDATE: Fire at Hawkeye Pride Egg Farm near Corwith, Iowa

A massive fire continues to burn at the Hawkeye Pride Egg Farm near Corwith,  flames were reportedly visible from miles away as multiple crews worked to contain the blaze, according to the North Iowa Free Press

At this time:
• The cause of the fire remains unknown
• Crews are still actively working the fire
• No official word yet on injuries or extent of damage

Conditions in the area have been dry and windy, which can make fires like this more difficult to control.

Local fire departments — including Corwith and surrounding crews — are playing a critical role in the response.

⚠️ Residents are encouraged to avoid the area and allow emergency crews space to work.

NEW: ICE San Diego arrested Amadeo Reynozo, a criminal alien from Mexico. Reynozo has been convicted for assault and cruelty towards a child. He will remain in custody pending removal.

AT LARGE: NJ Deadly Hit-and-Run Suspect:

Police say Wilson Adrian Morocho-Necta, an Ecuadorian national in the U.S. illegally, is wanted for hit-and-run in Morristown, New Jersey—Leaving a 68 y/o dead.

Investigators say Morocho-Necta hit Justo Pilco-Tenesaca, then took off on foot, leaving the victim trapped under a truck.

Morocho-Necta entered the U.S. in 2019 via the southern border and was removed back to Mexico after being issued a final order of removal by a judge. He illegally re-entered the U.S. at an unknown place and time, Ali Bradley reports.

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis saying, “We are calling on the public to report any sighting of Wilson Adrian Morocho-Necta. This illegal alien is the lead suspect in a hit and run that killed Justo Pilco-Tenesaca and remains at large. If anyone has information on the whereabouts of this illegal alien, they should immediately contact ICE at 866-DHS-2-ICE.”

NEW: A U.S. Secret Service agent shoots himself in the leg while escorting Jill Biden at Philadelphia International Airport, according to the New York Post.

Philadelphia police and other agencies were on scene Friday morning, according to a radio report from the local CBS affiliate.

A medic was also on the scene before leaving, the report said. The agent’s condition was not immediately clear. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

NEW: Three people are dead after a helicopter carrying a pilot and four passengers crashed into the ocean near Kalalau Beach on Kauaʻi, Hawaii yesterday.

The chopper was operated by Airborne Aviation, a helicopter tour company. Two survivors were transported to Wilcox Medical Center. Our thoughts are with those affected.

Kentucky lawmakers advanced a bill, known as the Halo Act, that would create a 25‑foot buffer zone around police and other first responders, and the legislation would make repeated violations a felony offense.

On March 24, Gwinnett County Police officers responded to a report of a missing 8-year-old child with autism spectrum disorder who is nonverbal. This is the type of call that no family ever wants to make and one that officers never want to receive. Officers learned the child had run out of the home and was missing. Like many children with autism, the child is drawn to water. With a body of water nearby, officers and the family knew it was critical to cover as much ground as possible in a short amount of time.

Officers quickly dispersed throughout the area, and multiple members of the community stepped up to help with the search. Master Police Officer J. Serrano #2031 positioned his patrol vehicle on the bridge on Steve Reynolds Boulevard overlooking the water while community members searched the nearby wooded area. A short time later, the child was heard crying out and was located clinging to a branch in the water. MPO Serrano and a civilian immediately entered the water and rescued the child.

The child was reunited with their family, evaluated on scene by Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, and transported to a local hospital due to concerns about hypothermia. Thankfully, the child did not suffer any serious injuries. A quick response, teamwork, and a community that was willing to jump in and help made all the difference in this situation.
