Arizona: The Glendale Police Department is actively investigating two vehicle collisions connected along Glendale Avenue Sunday morning, that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries, including a police officer.
According to authorities, the incident began near 57th Avenue and Glendale Avenue when a Glendale Police Officer traveling eastbound observed a vehicle speeding and driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes. The officer attempted to respond to the dangerous situation as it unfolded.
Moments later, a collision occurred near 56th Avenue and Glendale Avenue involving the officerβs patrol vehicle and a pickup truck traveling northbound through the intersection. Both the officer and the pickup driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A second and more severe crash took place further east near 51st Avenue and Glendale Avenue. Investigators say this collision involved two vehicles, including the suspect vehicle connected to the initial wrong-way driving incident.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Please, pray for all involved. ππ»
Glendale Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both crashes, including the events leading up to the wrong-way driving incident. No additional information has been released at this time.

We need a clean slate in LA and purge the failure. As Mayor, I will bring a complete overhaul to City Hall. And I will demand that the City Council actually do their jobs instead of making up pet projects that sound cute, waste $$, but offer no real solutions.

You've heard of an engine purring... but not like this!
A litter of kittens in Palmdale had to be rescued after a driver showed up at an animal care center saying they heard meowing coming from inside their vehicle.
Two animal control officers jumped into action and ended up pulling three newborn kittens out of the car's engine. Luckily, they were completely unharmed. π
