Hawai'i: The Coast Guard has been responding to flash floods on the north shore of Oahu for the past two days.

All told, Coast Guard and Navy aircrews saved 7 people and 1 dog stranded in flooded areas in Waialua and near Yokohama Bay.

Our crews train for dynamic situations like these to respond without hesitation when lives are at risk.

Coast Guard cutters stand ready offshore Oahu and Maui to respond to those in need on the water. Throughout the response, the safety of human life has remained our top priority.

New Mexico: A woman is dead and five other people are injured following a shooting early Sunday morning in Clovis.

According to the Clovis Police Department, it happened around 12:30 a.m. near Grand Avenue and Calhoun Street.

Police did not specify the conditions of the five people injured.

“STRANDED ANIMALS:

If your pets are lost in the flood waters please message us. Pule Kahu Outreach & Rescue, Hawaii Pointer Rescue, and The Rescue Network are coordinating to get as many out as we can. We need location information and photos.

Today we were able to rescue 8 in Waialua, reuniting 1 with family, the other 7 have no microchips and are with us in Aiea. There are at least 3 dogs and 1 cat still out there that we know of.

Even if you are not in Waialua, we still want to help and can potentially send people out to other NS communities. We have paddlers going out and bringing dogs back and are working to locate owners or temporary fosters for those we do secure. We will make room at our house for all that we can until families or solutions are found.

Additionally if you have kayaks or paddle boards to lend to our efforts that would be greatly appreciated and any one able to use aircraft or other means to spot animals in jeopardy let us know immediately!

BREAKING: Plymouth police said Officer Samantha Pelrine was placed on leave after the Plymouth Police Department was notified by the Massachusetts State Police of an active criminal investigation.

The Plymouth County DA said "it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time" in regard to the nature of the investigation.
