After 30 years with the Sacramento County Sheriffβs Office, our Food Services Manager Ioan Stefanescu is retiring this week. He started in 1996 as a Cook 1 and worked his way up through the Main Jail and R3C before becoming Food Services Manager in 2014. For three decades, Ioan has been part of the team supporting food services in our correctional facilities, an impressive length of time in any career and especially rare in this profession. It is not often you see someone dedicate that kind of time to one role and one organization. We are grateful for everything he has contributed over the years and wish him all the best in retirement.

New York: A Webster police officer was injured in a crash as they were responding to a domestic dispute, where a man possibly fired a gun on Saturday morning.
Webster police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Glen Edith Drive around 6:30 a.m. When one of the officers was responding to the scene, they got involved in a crash at the intersection of Gravel Road and Ridge Road. Neither the officer nor the woman was hospitalized in the crash, according to the Webster Police Department.
As Webster police officers arrived on scene at Glen Edith Drive, the man fled in a car and struck a police car as he attempted to drive past the car. The car went off the road and ended up in the mud, where it got stuck, according to Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeier. Officers took the man into custody after a brief use of force.
Officers say the man fired a weapon inside the home and was transported for a mental health evaluation, where charges are being determined, according to the Webster Police Department.
Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for the officer's recoveryππ»
